Comments about Chauvet KINTA X LED Effect Light:
The Kinta X must be older because it has dip switches instead of the digital programmer, which is ok, just a little outdated. Only 2 channels for progamming. No control of color selection. I am in a band and like having more control of the lighting effects. This is definitely a fixure for a dance scene. Like I mentioned before.... noisy motor. If you have music playing you can't hear it. The lights are very bright and the colors are vivid.
Not many features to mention. All I can say is the mic and sensitivity settings are average.
Plastic housing. Noisy motor.
Nice enough if you get it on clearance.
Comments about Chauvet KINTA X LED Effect Light:
I have this light and the ADJ Tri-LED Aggressor. Marketed similarly, I chose these lights for their ability to fill the dance floor where fog is not available. I do not use the DMX feature (yet). This light has the more fill and beams around the room, but lacks the color range of the Aggressor. It also does not follow the music nearly as well as the Aggressor, which stops when the music suddenly goes mellow and does a nice "hang-out" slow series during down parts of songs (where the Kinta gets a little confused and keeps going). So the Kinta serves mostly during more mellow or happy dance songs, where it is more playful and fillful. The Kinta does not tolerate company with a power strobe the way the Aggressor does. Ultimately, the club-happy Aggressor is more versatile, really digs into the beats. They don't work well together, mix them with a one-off moonflower, etc. So it sounds like I don't like this light, but it is such a happy and full lighting effect, it serves enough purpose to get a space on the rack. The Kinta has price and DMX over the Aggressor tho, and may be a hair lighter. My particular unit makes a lot of motor noise too, not sure if it's just mine...In summary, the Kinta does what Chauvet claims it will do. If you need a driving dance light, go with the Aggressor, for eventing, maybe the Kinta. For the cash happy, get both.
Comments about Chauvet KINTA X LED Effect Light:
There are not a lot of reviews of this new light, so here goes! The beams are very bright and the colors are vibrant-- I love it, especially with a hazer machine or a little fog. The strobing feature put this far beyond it's predecessor, the regular Kinta. And, it doesn't use 600 watts which is a plus when you're traveling like we do. NOTE!!!: these lights will NOT work in "master/slave" mode without a DMX control board (I called Chauvet and they said it's actually a misprint in their manual). So, don't buy the DMX cable unless you have a DMX board to run these champs. They run independently on a program that's not "really" so sound responsive but is still very cool. If you can start them at the same time they will look like they are in synch because they have the same programming.
