Comments about Cortex dMIX-300 Digital Music Control Station:
You hear of equipment breaking down on the job, but this one didn't even work straight from the box. This unit is junk. I think Cortex had a good idea, but maybe they just lacked the capital to actually build a good reliable well made product. Avoid the hassle of having to send back this product, no matter how cheap you get this unit, you won't want to keep it.
Pros
- Clear Sound
- Compact
- Durable
- Easy To Use

Comments about Cortex dMIX-300 Digital Music Control Station:
OK here's the downfall of this product. (IMHO) - This does not have a master tempo. If you increase the "speed" of a song, to match beat with another song, the "pitch" of the song changes, eg, it sounds Sqweeky. - It cant write to NTFS partitions. Not Nerd PC talk, if you got your PC off dell, and want to use that hard drive, it can play the files, but not write tags to it, or save playlists, or record the entire session.
Comments about Cortex dMIX-300 Digital Music Control Station:
built like a tank with clean sound and flexible sources.
This unit has a metal shell and feels very solid. The sliders & faders have a nice feel, as do the "scratching" wheels.
One key element missing is automatic beat matching, though it is easy enough to do manually using headphones.
Aside from iPod, you can use USB thumb drives, hard drives, CD players, etc. etc. Even turntables.
as a Stupid Deal I couldn't pass this up for the occasional times I need to provide recorded music during breaks in our live sets.
