The Crown CE1000 Power Amp is lightweight and roadworthy. 560W/ch @ 2 ohms, 450W @ 4 ohms, 275W @ 8 ohms, 1,100W bridged mono @ 4 ohms, 900W @ 8 ohms. It works with any line voltage, and its Switch Mode Power Supply allows enormous power with less weight. Other features include sophisticated protection circuitry (from shorted, open, or mismatched loads, input and high frequency overloads), a 5-way fault indicator, a red LED on each channel that turns on when distortion becomes audible, a green signal-present LED, detented level controls, a mode select switch for stereo or bridged, and 3-speed fan.

Our band actually got this free but after using it for so long I would have paid this much for this power amp in a heartbeat. The price is AMAZING for this amp. We're a "poor band" and we hook this up to 4 Kustom 15" speakers and 3 10" Kustom stage monitors and We can do pretty much ANY venue that we can get. We've done a few at auditoriums and we've done a few outside shows at an oustide audiorium and this thing is WAY more than enough power to fill those places. I recommend getting this power amp especially for the price. But if you have better speakers with more watts you might want to go for the Crown 2000 and maybe stack it with a Crown 1000 if you have LOTS of power.

Bought this amp because it's rated at 1100 watts briged @ 4 Ohms... Hooked it up to a pair of mackie s218s 500watts ea. Input was from active 75hz x-over out on the mackie cfx-16 mixer (XLR). Bridged the amp, parralled the speakers for 4 ohm load, and when I turned it on, I had to turn all the way up and it couldn't drive the subs.... Probably a decent amp for a pair of 15" 2 way passive speakers. Sound was clean, low to no noise idle all the way up, didn't clip once. Just dissapointed. There is no way this amp is putting out 1100watts @ 4 ohms bridged.. Unless it's rated power was a peak power rating, then half of that would be program power, and half of that would be rms (true power) 275 watts going to a 1000 watt, 4 ohm speaker load = Not enough power! They should specify rms power or some other power rating as peak or program in their specs on these amps! Misleading and that leads to dissapointment! This Amp will go back next business day!

We have used one for 2 years for monitors and I'm buying another for its favorable performance on the gigs.
This Crown has been nothing but reliable and awesome...I am driving a pair of 12" Yamahas and have done probably close to 100 jobs with it. Always does what I need...no complaints whatsoever.
The crown ce 1000 has not let me down... but i have often needed moor watts... make sure you allow to expand your system.
Great amp for the price. I use it for wedding receptions with a pair of jbl 15" 2 ways. Need more power, bridge it. It is very light in weight and it is roadworthy. I went through about three amps before i picked up this bad boy. Very clean sound. I'm very satisfied.
I have 2 of these and am now purchasing a 3rd. I use them to power my monitors which are Yamaha SM15v. These monitors are 500 watts and peak at 1,000. I bridge the amps @1100 watts and it's a perfect match. I have ample headroom on the amp and the board. Best thing I have used for monitors.
I started DJ'ing about 5 years ago and bought this new from a local store. The salesman recommended this and I decided to go for it. I have never had a problem and since then I now play in a live band also, and this is the amp we use. For both live shows and disc spinning!! I will never buy a different product!!! Crown ROCKS!!!!!!
I like this amp alot although I am selling currently selling it (ebay/instrument Exchange) for the higher end Crown Xs900. If your looking to DJ or just need some good power this is a good choice. However, if you need a little more features as I do then i would recomend going the extra mile for the Xs model.
I bought two of these amps four years ago, one crapped out on me about a year ago and the other just died this weekend at our last show. Since both of them crapped out on me within four years, me and my soundman are disapointed with the life of these amps. These amps should still be pushing our system right now, more than four years! Also we kept our equipment in racks and take care of it, so I don't think it was abuse. We have replace the first one with a QSC, and now I guess we have to buy another. Again disapointed with the life of the CE series from Crown. You can find a better amp than this for cheaper ! Honest.....
Great little amp for the money. Will handle any 4 ohm load and almost any 2 ohm load, some speakers will drop inpedence more tha others. I have driven 4 pairs of 8 ohm speakers for background and Public Address use, my QSC died, for 13 hours without even tripping out. Crown makes better amps but for the road I think I will stick with the CE series. They have more headroom and a little less noise than the XLS Series but both are worth every penny. BUY IT, CRANK IT, ABUSE IT, & YOU WILL LOVE IT.
Great amp for this price range! I currently own one of these amps and have been very pleased with its performance. This amp has been played at every one of our shows for the past 2 years FLAWLESSLY!
