Best choice if you can't afford the Ashley EQ

Comments about dbx 215 Dual 15-Band Graphic EQ:

I use a mesa studio preamp in a stereo configuration with a gmajor, carvin T100 power amp and pair of cabs. Each cab sounds TOTALLY different and I could only eq the amp to address one of the cab's shortcomings or changes I wanted in the tone. This eq fixed this problem. I'm running the left and right signals from the gmajor into the left and right side of the EQ into the left and right channels of the power amp. It's quiet, totally transparent and the 12db mode really allows tremendous control over the sound. It's built well and has DBX's reliablity so I'm confident I made the right choice. I don't rate it a 5 becuase the ashley eq has more at the higher $$ tag.

Comments about dbx 215 Dual 15-Band Graphic EQ:

Got this for a great price at a store, and it's sick with my guitar...just got myself an old Mackie board with no effects or eq, a Microverb III and a rack Sonic Maximizer and can't wait to try it with some Mackie speakers. Overall, great eq...didn't give it fives all across because it doesn't have built-in feedback suppression or limiters, but it's great for the price I got it for...
