Plain and simple, I bought this thing because I wanted an auto-eq for those gigs when my full rack of 18 units is unfeasible or I knew I wouldn't have time to use a real EQ. Little did I know that after purchasing this it would cut the need of almost 10 units I already had. I feel confident that a great-sounding show can be created with nothing but this processor, good powered speakers, and a Midas console.

Amazing Value A Must Have
The driverack is great it took the place of my eq, limiter, crossover, and added more processing than i had all in one rack space dbx is industry standard stuff i have seen the big boys use this same exact product as well as small local bands. i own the original dont see a need to go out and buy a new one. if you have no sound experience and dont have good ears this will be the hardes thing to use but if your a real sound guy and know how to eq and crossover and run sound this is amazing. i like the auto features but if you only rely on them(since they are only meant to be a starting point) only your mix will be thin and have no presence and no top end especially inside because all it will do is continue to take out frequincies the entire gig. but if you know what your doing and you use this tool correctly it will be your best friend. good sound quality doesnt come from a box. it comes from first good gear and most importantly good ears and knowledge

Dbx drive rack Pa speaker management,I wish to own one,the way I have read about it is actually four in one to have,it is a must tool to have since it simplyfy the job.
It protect your speakers as it splits all three frequencies .

I have THREE of the original DR PAs. The new model is even better. You MUST read the manual. You MUST read the manual. Even better, understand the manual. While a simple wizard set-up is a start you will need to tweak it if you want the ideal sound quality you paid for. This piece of equipment will make NOTICEABLY better sound IF you understand how it works. The DBX Forum on line is a treasure of FAQs and easy to use tips on how to use the Driverack. I have mine dialed in pretty well and do not run the wizard at every show. I may make a minor EQ adjustment. It is a great product unless you are a know-it-all fool and refuse to read and learn.

This thing seriously cleaned up our mix in our church sanctuary. If you do the research and read the manual this thing is not so bad to work with. (You should read the manual on whatever you add to your rack anyway. Get to know your gear) This thing helped us to bring the overall level down but it has brought definition and clarity to every instrument we use. Feedback is no longer a problem. No more huge 32 band EQ's this does it! Using this thing and pinking your room every once in a while will keep things sounding fresh. (which this things does as well)

Hey folks this product is great and will work if you understand how to do a setup. Some people think that they know what they are doing but are just confused. Use the setup feature of the DriveRack and then make minor adjustments. These are very easy to use. Do a little reading in the manual before you use it for the first time and you will get great results. Not sure how anyone can give this product a poor rating other than just unable to read and follow the directions. When you follow the directions this thing will let you stand in front of the PA speakers and yell into a mic with no problems. The clarity is also an improvement that will amaze you. I play in a band with a guy that was stuck in his ways. He did not want to use this peice of equipment but one show with it and he is hooked.

This is the ultiment Mr Twiddle piece of gear I have ever seen.Time consuming and dosent sound very well. I have EQ's on my monitors that are more expensive then this and the DBX drive rack is supposed to do that and every thing else. It was designed to be installed so that you have to call the installer to come and adjust your system for you.Not user friendly,bad sound quality.I have to work with it every weekend. :( I say if your knew what you were doing, you would'nt need this piece of.....gear.

So have been working in the Sound for worship field for about 11 years, I have seen all types of sound equipment come and go. I recently did a install for a medium size worship center that pulls double duty for traditional, contemporary, and youth worship. Needing multiple sound profiles I turned to the Drive rack. The ability to program different master settings is wonderful. A program tailored for speech, for the traditional, music and high spl for the contemporary, and a nice program with heavy limiters for the youth. Setup was self explanatory, most amp and speakers are pre loaded. We use Yamaha clubs and QSC RMX, amps. If you really know what your doing you can take the Driveracks auto settings and really tune a nice sound. I highly recomend and will be installing many more
