The DN-MC6000 Mixer and MIDI Controller is a 4-channel/eight-source standalone digital DJ mixer with MIDI interface and internal sound card. With an astounding amount of features, realtime channel matrix operation, slim tabletop design, state-of-the-art solid steel chassis construction and quality sound, the DN-MC6000 is one of Denon DJ's flagship controllers. Also acting as an audio interface (with a 2-in/2-out stereo soundcard included), the DN-MC6000, when paired with the user's software of choice, is a turnkey control solution for mobile DJs and party DJs, and a clear centerpiece to any DJ rig.<br><br>
The DN-MC6000 comes bundled with Virtual DJ LE, Audio/Video/Karaoke mixing software in North/South America and Canada, and Native Instruments® TRAKTOR LE for Europe and Asia. The DN-MC6000 is MIDI-mapable and compatible with other popular DJ programs. The unit interfaces seamlessly with Mac OSX and Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. Unlike other comparable products, the DN-MC6000 includes a selectable Video/Audio control cross fader feature. Each side of the unit can control up to two decks (for a total of four), with visible deck color change for intuitive, straightforward operation. Also notable is the fact that the DN-MC6000 is a real mixer, able to process audio inputs for external devices without a connection to a computer, as a dedicated mixer unit would.<br><br>
Key features include rack-mountability (with included 19" rackmount accessory kit), a number of on-board MIDI effect controls, durable construction, intuitive layout, dual jog wheels, pitch fader, channel fader, cross fader and much more. The unit's Pitch/Fader/Volume lock function holds the last known Audio value and position until the NULL point is again reached. It is also easy for users to find where they are going, with the included File browse navigation keys and rotary encoder file selector knob with illuminated ring. Also featured are the unit's high-quality, high-output headphone amp, the independent 3-band Channel EQ with "Kills" (high-mid-low) and various Utility presets to customize user settings.

ive always been into creating and recording music. up until i purchased this unit i had only tinkered around with different dj programs as id rather produce my own music than mix other peoples. i had deckadance which i got with fl studio and i had used abelton live.
when i got this it came with VDJ which at first i thought was kind of cool but after a couple of days playing the the program i decided to purchase traktor pro 2. much easier for me! the asio drivers for the dnmc6000 really dont function that great so i use the mc6000 as my main sound card with the shared wasp mode in the audio set up menu. once you learn your way around the controller and its easy to use and so far ive had no problems. one complaint tho is the slider knobs like to come off. a bit of super glue will solve that problem. ive had the unit almost a year and it was worth every penny

Started noticing sound problems after 4 months of use. I have been a working DJ for a few years, and know all the ins and outs about latency, hookups etc. My laptop is an i7 8gig dedicated DJ only laptop with no other programs. I could NOT get decent sound at all out of the unit, even after getting all of the updates from Denon. I now run a separate sound card, and just use this as a controller.
If you go to VDJ website, there are LOTS of complaints about same problem.
I Like it as a controller, but it's a pain not to be able to use the ASIO driver.

If you are a Virtual DJ Pro user and use a midi controller this is a "Must Buy" for you! This thing is noting but quality just as you would expect from Denon. Well worth the money. I replaced so much gear with the MC6k. (Mixer, CD players, Karaoke player, Vocal processor, Mouse) Everything is at your finger tips and will control 95% of the features in VDJ Pro. Being able to use this as a analog mixer with a click of a knob is a huge plus as well. There is a slight learning curve to adapt to but once you do, you will wonder how you ever DJ'd without this controller! To me this was a no brainer.5 out of 5 Buy It!!

I'm new to DJing and almost bought the S4 but this can work as a stand alone mixer unlike the S4. Its got a solid build to it and actually is a nice size and fairly easy to learn to use. For my first controller I couldn't ask for a better experience. I just wished it came with Traktor rather than Virtual DJ.

I have been a DJ since 1983. I welcome innovation and future technology. I own this unit. I have owned Turntables, CDN 88, CDJ1000s, Hercules, IDJ2, Xponent, Cortex 300 and 600, Pacemaker, DN HD2500, CDJ 400s, Traktor, Serato, Virtual DJ, and now the DN MC6000. This unit is rock solid. It is versatile and dependable. Denon has done exactly what they're supposed to do with this unit. It is the perfect back up unit. Adapt you Ney-sayers, ADAPT.

I ordered this product online. I did not realize that it is a tiny controller. Everything is very compact and hard to work. Also, for this price, it has as lot of plastic. VDJLE is good, really for a $800.00 controller? Also, the knobs in the front are not protected and I am concerned they could break off. I am returning it. I want and 4 deck controller that gives me more for my money. also, the sound is not great. I am checking out the others on the market, S4 and VMS4. I am a big Denon guy, but not this.
