Fender

A super-portable complete system with ample power and fantastic sound quality.

This 6-channel Fender Passport 300 PRO portable PA system takes its predecessor, the Passport PD-250, to the next level with 300W of power (up from 250), a sub-out jack for an external powered subwoofer, lighter weight (a full 12 pounds less than the PD-250), smaller overall dimensions, and phantom power. The redesigned speaker system features 2 plastic molded cabinets with an 8" woofer and 1.2" horn-loaded tweeter in each for better definition, and and a sub-out jack has been added for an external powered subwoofer.

Take a close look and listen and the Fender Passport PRO 300 will take you places like never before. The speakers release with two quick flips of the spring-loaded clasps to open up into a three-component setup or once done, close back up for one convenient transportable system. For this generation of Passport PA systems Fender kept the best of previous versions and improved its functionality so that this Passport speaker system is ideal for whatever your application may be — education and presentations, party gigs, small clubs, and coffee houses.

We bought this mainly to have small musical sessions in small to medium halls. It is very versatile, easy to transport and sounds amazing for our purpose. I very much like the fact that it is so easy to transport. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small PA system with good sounds.

Passport 300 Pro Portable PA System

| Review By: Martin Carey | 2 weeks, 1 day ago

Features:

Setup of the Passport 300 Pro is a breeze, simple & straightforward, easy to operate.

Quality:

Vocals are clear, crisp, warm, NO FEEDBACK, even with mic very close & almost pointed at the speaker.

Value:

Great value for the price.  We were concerned that smaller/lighter speakers could not produce sound & volume we wanted, but this sounds great.

Overall:

We have a small practice space, so the Passport 300 suits it well. Haven't had it long yet-have not taken it out, but we're certain it has plenty of power for the venues we'll use it at. Did try it with a subwoofer 'cause of other reviews we read, that adds a lot of bass, not sure that it's necessary, though. We run a keyboard and keyboard bass through it, as well as vocals, and it sounds great. We're very pleased with it.

The Fender Passport 300 Pro ROCKS!

I got a great deal, which makes the value even better!

Overall:

I perform with one other band mate, mostly, and occasionally host an open mic night, at a local bar. We are both vocalists and multi instrumentalists. The 300 overs enough inputs for our needs. And at the open mic nights, I patch in a small Beringher mixing board, as well.  The system is plenty powerful for our venues, and super easy to use and transport. I'm buying the cover for it, because I worry about banging it up during transport. I'm also buying the Fender speaker stands. For us, it will then be just about perfect. We have been complimented on the sound quality.

An excellent, portable p.a. for the price

Features:

Best portable p.a. I've ever owned, and the best deal ever.

Quality:

Well made, durable, very portable.  Looks good, so simple to set up and tear down, beautiful vocal reproduction.

Value:

Best price I've ever paid for a p.a., portable or otherwise.

Overall:

I owned the 250 version, upgraded to the 300 last year and I'm very pleased.  Fantastic sound, clear, bright and brilliant for singing through.  The cheap, thin speaker cables that come with it aren't really trustworthy for regular use, I bought new, sturdier, longer ones.  This thing sets up in less than ten minutes, and only requires one trip in and one trip out.  Lighter than the previous version, airtight and waterproof design, built very tough.  I play in a blues rock band, mostly smaller venues, but it covers even the larger rooms with no problem.  Plenty of bass response, and I've had the speakers BEHIND the singers and still, NO FEEDBACK.

A breeze to set up, extremely simple to operate for even a novice.  I also use it at home for a kick butt stereo system using one of the two stereo 1/8 in. jacks for my walkman, or for playing music on breaks at gigs.  I know some old dude who would rather hoist around giant heavy speakers up on stands and break his back and have 50 knobs to operate, but he's set in his ways.  I laugh at him cause I have the Fender Passport 300, which gets the same or superior sound, and is light as a feather in comparison.  I've gotten lots of compliments on it, and some people are shocked that it sounds so good for something so small.  I also use my line out of my amp and run it into the Passport for that full room coverage and it sounds sweet.  One amp and three singers and they all sound beautiful.  I highly recommend this p.a.

Easy to set up and works like a dream!

Features:

The Fender Passport 300 Pro Portable PA System has everything I need for my jazz sextet plus vocalist.  It is light enough to put in the back seat of my car and carry in to the gig.  It has clean, crisp sound for the vocalist and flute and clarinet also sounded great.  There is enough power to fill a small venue, and I plan to use it outside next summer.

Quality:

Well-designed: all the knobs are protected during travel.  The padded feet are a nice extra touch. Having a storage cabinet for cables in the back of the mixer is a great convenience.

Value:

This PA is an excellent value for the price.  It is just what I needed for my jazz sextet plus vocalist - no unwanted extra features with great sound.

Overall:

It is easy to set up, and has excellent sound.  The speakers are light enough to lift onto their stands without being a weightlifter.  My only suggestion for change is to place the speaker input jacks out of sight, either on the bottom or back of the enclosure.
