Features:

Great Units for any home Studio

Quality:

They look good, nice finish and colors, they do not feel ship, and they sound great

Value:

One of those budget units that do the job right

Overall:

Quality product for nearfield reference, also loud enought with clean sound, volumen in the back it's OK if you have a mixer line out, interface out, comuter out etc.

A Good Buy

Features:

No frills when it comes to features. The level knobs are on the back of the monitor which is not the best location, but other than that there are two connection options which afford the user connection options. They both have active lights on the front that are neither too bright or too dim.

Quality:

Over all the sound quality is what I would rate as in the middle. Not the best but by far not the worst. For my use in my home studio they perform just fine. They are attractive and the highs and lows are just fine for my needs.

Value:

For the price I paid I am satisfied all around and to date have not had any issues with these monitors.

Overall:

If you are expecting professional high end monitors for your home studio keep shopping. I bought these because of the price and several good reviews of the quality. They were right on target with their reviews. These were purchased as an addition to my Tascam DP 24 because I was tired of having my head restricted by headphones.  The sound quality that these produce meet my expectations and have enhanced the sound of my previously recorded material. For my home studio these are more than enough. The price was attractive and in comparison I feel I am getting my bang for my buck.

I really like them

Features:

Since I'm a newbie at studio recording and equipment I'm going to rate this an 8.  There may be units with better features out there but these are great for me.  They are connected to my Tascam 2488neo and sound great.  As far as features there are two types of jacks.  RCA and 1/4" unbalanced.  A volume switch.  External power cord and on/off switch.

Quality:

Again I like the quality but since this is my first set of studio monitors I don't have anything to compare too.  However everything I've recorded sounds great to me.  A distinct tonal difference from each channel and crystal clear.

Value:

I don't think you'll find better monitors for the money.

Overall:

I've used these for over a month now and have had no problems.  If something ever happens to them I won't hesitate to get another pair.

NICE

Features:

Pretty simple features, but how much do you need in this area?  Everyone complains that the knobs are in the back, but having small kids and stupid friends, I'm actually glad they're out of reach... the levels are where I set them and they stay that way.

Quality:

Sound quality is clean and untempered by the speakers themselves.  That is to say, they're great for mixing... you hear your sound as it is, not polished or empowered by the speakers.

Value:

Got them cheap, and they have cut the time my mixes take to finish down dramatically (no more burning a cd and running out to the car or to some other stereo for a real-life reference!), so therefor, the value to me is superb.

Overall:

These speakers are the best you can get at this price range, and honestly I've heard some higher-end monitors in big-boy studios that didn't sound nearly as good as these.  Fostex very rarely lets me down.

Overall:

I bought a pair of these of few months ago to fit my grad student budget and space constraints.  The only problem i had with the way these things sound is that they made all my old mixes sound terrible!  These monitors have plenty of power, clarity, and a nicely "flat" response.  A couple of things could be better: 1- xlr inputs would be nice 2-easier to reach and read volume knobs.  Other than these two minor things, i could not be happier.
