Very lightweight, poor (thin) wood quality. No pole mount top hat, had to install my own, and the wood used is an OSB style with very poor bonding; it cracked away badly where I drilled the hole. Hope it holds up. Horn combination is good, 12" seems a bit rattly at performance (DJ) volume levels. Inexpensive, so I can't complain too much.

I was surprised how good these sounded for the money I payed for them. These actually can take a beating from my electronic music and vocals at the same time. Im impressed and Thanks Gemini for having a great speaker setup on a budget. I used to own the JBL eon and these sound just as good. Cheers!!!

First off let us remember that these speakers are inexpensive. I have two of them. The biggest issue I have with them is poor manufacturing. One had a nasty buzzing sound straight out of the box. I traced it down to primarily coming from the midrange horn. I threw caution (and the warranty) to the wind, pulled off the grille and removed the midrange horn. What I found was a loose screw on the back of the horn that sandwiches the driver between the rear housing and the horn. Tightening the screw was fruitless since it only turned but did not grip anything. Pulling the housing off revealed the stud the screw was supposed to grip was twisted off due to over tightening during manufacturing. My only option was to drill through the horn and install a longer screw. Problem solved. The next thing I found was debris from manufacturing left inside the cabinet. A fairly good sized blob of solder and a couple of blobs of hot glue were floating around inside the cabinet, causing even more unwanted noise. The next thing I discovered was components which make up the crossover were not secured to anything and simply lying loose inside the cabinet, also a probable source for vibration and unwanted noise. While inside the cabinet I was able to get a good look at the cabinet itself. The side panels are made from 3/8" material, which means they will flex and vibrate at higher volume levels. The RMS rating of these speakers are 100w, and I cannot imagine ever driving them with that amount of power. I doubt very seriously if they would last long at 100w continuous. After seeing all this, I decided to check the other cabinet as well. Loose screw on the midrange as well, but the stud was intact and a simple tightening took care of that. Overall the biggest issue with these speakers seems to me to be a severe lack of quality in the manufacturing process.

Seriously? How can you beat this price?? For the quality you get, its amazing! I am in a 5 piece metal band and am using a gemini mixer, and we can do any show in the venues around where i live! Get these while they are still here!
