I picked these up on a one-day sale, with the idea to use them for PA mains, monitors, or DJ for small parties. While they have great highs & deep lows, the mids are lacking. Also, the 600-watt rating is Peak Power, and somewhat misleading. The actual RMS power is more similar to say 200 watts. They are a bit heavy for my old bones, over 40 lbs. Use caution when transporting, as those knobs on the back for the mixer portion are a tad exposed. While the top and bottom handles protrude out further, there is a lot of space in between.

The RCA jacks to input a music source is fine, but the rest of the mixer section is not so great. I was using them with a mixer using the XLR or 1/4 inch input. I would not push the individual channel volume, or the bass or treble pots past 12 o'clock. Push the main volume farther if you need more power. They get a bit of hiss going at higher volumes.

Overall, these are OK for a small PA for a club with less than 200 people or DJ a venue for not much more than 100 people; great for monitors (especially for drummers & bass players), and great for a back yard or other smaller house party, rehearsal studio, etc.

Great value, but for me, I need more power and have to go with more high-end (and high-priced) powered speakers.

    Comments about Harbinger VaRi V2115 600 W 15" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

Clear sound, excellent bass response, and budget friendly. These speakers will get over your drummer, keep up with your bassist, and cut through the mix quite well.

But wait! That's not all! So I'm blasting Pantera through these, and the bass kicks come out clear as a bell, no distortion, the floor and walls are shaking, the guitars are clear, the bass is clear, there's no buzz or distortion, and I can literally feel the music through my entire body. For 500, you can be loud enough for weddings, clubs, parties, live performance, etc., with good, high quality sound.

    Comments about Harbinger VaRi V2115 600 W 15" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

I bought a pair of these on sale, with hope that they actually put out a majority of the claimed wattage. But they don't. Many years ago, my friends and I were very disappointed when manufacturers began to use "peak power" as the rating standards, rather than rms. For those who don't know, peak power is obtainable only when the unit is cranked up into pretty bad distortion. Sure enough, these speakers start distorting badly at about the equivalent of 100 watts rms. 600 watts only applies to something you never want to hear.
A second misleading part of the ad copy is the claim that other speakers can be ganged to these units. Not quite. There is no speaker out, for example, to have one unit drive an unpowered monitor. Rather, one of these exact units can be joined to another, which saves a speaker cord, but other than that, has limited value, and certainly does not afford the versatility which could be possible with a more intelligent design.
I wonder about the positive reviews of these speakers. Either they are fake, or buyers really have no idea how loud 600 watts are. MF would be better off and retain more customers if they would insist on more accurate product descriptions, but until they do, it's buyer beware.

      Comments about Harbinger VaRi V2115 600 W 15" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

I was in the market for an affordable speaker. I had bought two of the twelve inch version of this speaker. they sound really good. I got them on sale. I called to get another one and the sales person that helped me with this was able to give me a good deal and he gave me an extra cable at no charge. Back to the point. the speaker sounds really clear and is very loud. I haven't had to use it past half way except once which was outside. yes I would recommend it. I heard it for the first time when I got it and was pleased.

            Comments about Harbinger VaRi V2115 600 W 15" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

I am really happy with the sound, power, and clarity of this powered speaker. It has an easy to use eq and plenty of bass for most applications. Sounded good right out of the box and didn't require "break in." The cabinet is also reasonably lightweight...but not light. We used this with medium volume 5-piece band just last evening and it sounds great and has plenty of power.

Two things for gigging musicians to keep in mind : 1) the plastic control knobs in the back are more exposed than is ideal; with heavy gigging, these knobs stand a good chance of being broken off unless you are careful how you (and your band mates) haul these. 2) They are larger and heavier than many current production 15 inch powered speaker cabinets, such as the JBL Eon series (which I also own, and is of similar power and clarity). If you are playing small venues such as wineries and small pubs you might want something easier to haul and that takes up less space.

Overall, I am happy with the purchase and am considering the 12 inch version for smaller venues.

Saw them on Lyin Ted's tour used as monitors and main vocals/keyboard amps.
