This model is based on the "Holy Grail" of compressors/limiters, the Fairchild 670. With a faithful reproduction of every control, this is an incredibly accurate model that captures every nuance of one of the best Fairchild units available.

T-RackS 3 also comes with these four Classic T-RackS processors:

IK's breakthrough SCC (Sonic Character Cloning) technology:
SCC has been developed to "clone" the true behavior of an analog vintage processor down to its finest level of sonic detail for a faithful reproduction of all its tonal characteristics. This emulation technology produces results that are indistinguishable from the originals, even for the professionally trained ear.
Many pieces of vintage gear tend to have original and interesting circuit topology, due to the creative solutions that engineers were sometimes forced to put into place in order to overcome the limitations of components' technology. Vintage components' technology (many of which can't be found anymore because their technology became obsolete and un-economical) as well as their aging (some of the best sounding devices are 40-50 years old) played fundamental roles in giving these devices a unique musicality that is what the purist would define to be "the unmatched" by even the most advanced processors today. And finally, many of the unique sonic characteristics of these magnificent vintage units sometimes depended on erratic and unpredictable behavior of their electronics that would be considered unorthodox and unusable by today's science and standards.
SCC technology has the ability, through a new analysis method developed by IK, to integrate all of the above and turn it into a mathematical algorithm that, for the first time, is able to take into consideration all of these complex variables and get an exact "clone" of the original. This is software emulation evolved to a sound quality never heard before. Sounds so close to the real thing that you won't be able to tell the difference.

I love these plug-ins!!! What a hard to authorize. AVG Virus protection must be shut off. But it was well worth the effort!!!

Mastering is like tuning up your car. With a little knowledge and some decent tools you could change your cars spark plugs, put in a new gas filter, change your oil and oil filter and do a few other basic things and your car will run better, but a real trained auto mechanic will do a dozen other things that you can't do without specialized knowledge and expensive equipment that will make your car run great. Mastering a recording is allot like tuning up your car. If you own a really good compressor, a limiter, a good high end EQ and other essentials and have the knowledge to use them properly, you could do a half decent mastering job your recordings. I thought I was doing ok until I was introduced to T Racks. I went to a recording seminar with a well known engineer/producer a few months ago. When it came time to delve into mastering, he highly recommended T Racks. I went home and tried a free demo version and immediately bought this program. T Racks has all you need to master recordings to the highest standards. Your old recordings will come alive and jump out of your monitors. The software is very easy to use (if you understand the basics of compression, limiting and parametric EQ) but best of all even if you don't have that knowledge there are pre-sets that are already in the T Racks software that are awesome. Just open T Racks and "drag and drop" one of your recordings into it, pick one of the mastering pre-sets and listen. You'll be blown away. I usually start with a T Racks pre-set that comes close to what I want and then tweak it a little for the needs of the recording. After you are done you can save your custom settings by renaming them. After a few short months I have a number of my own pre-sets that work great. You can also set up three different setting on tab A, B and C that are on the T Racks interface and just click between them as the song plays to see which one works the best for that recording. I rated the software 4.0 on value. It's not cheap, but it is cheaper than some other mastering softwares. As an example, I bought Adobe Audition about two years ago which sells for about the same price as T Racks. I have struggled with the learning curve for Adobe Audition and found that I spent too much time playing with the software and getting frustrated. T Racks interface looks like the clasic equipment of old. Just bring up a compressor or an EQ and use your mouse to move the knobs on the screen. The software is very sensitive and unlike other digital software very small movements will make a big difference. All I can say in closing is go to the T Racks (IK Multimedia) web site and download the trial software. It is a fully functioning software (it will expire in a few days). You'll see what I am raving on about.

It has a nice look to it. I have used many mastering plugins before and this one is not totally Pro but you can get a Pro sound from it if you use an exciter (Aphex 204). This is a must have I would say go get it. My suggestion to IK Multimedia is get some other plugin to brighten the sound and this software will be the boss.
