I picked up a Jamhub Bedroom to play music with friends in the evenings after work. We have to be quiet because my kids are sleeping and I don?t want to wake them up. So far it has worked well but there are a few things I should have considered before buying itStereo inputsThe instrument inputs need to be from a stereo source. I believe you can use a mono source but you will only be able to hear it in one ear. Whatever amplification equipment you use will need to have stereo outputs. Most likely you will go out through the headphones output. I also had a difficult time finding quality inch phone cables stereo. If you are a guitar or bass player you probably don?t have one of these lying around. I wound up using some lower quality patch cables. I have to mess with them so they don?t buzz too much. PreampsThe Jambhub does not amplify the instrument signals. Everything that is not at least up to line level will need a preamp. Each mic will need a separate mic preamp if you want to have individual control of the mic levels. Individual control is really the primary strength of the Jamhub. I use a PODxt for guitar and connect it to the Jamhub through the phones output. For Bass I use a Boss ME-50b. The boss effects unit does not amplify as much as the POD. I usually have the volume all the way up and that just barely cuts it. I also go through the headphones output of a small amp sometimes and that works pretty well.Is individual control worth it?Silent rehearsal can be set up with a mixer and a headphones amp for lower cost. The feature the Jambhub offers that other solutions do not is that each musician has his own mix. If your band mates are constantly trying to make their signal the loudest or your drummer can?t refrain from constantly performing mini drum solos then maybe the Jambhub is right for your band. If individual mix control is not a big issue I would suggest getting a mixer and headphones amp. You?ll save some money, your mixer with will have some preamp channels and you won?t have the stereo input problem.Get a MicWith everyone wearing headphones I recommend getting at least one mic. If you are not already using a mic having one plugged into the Jamhub makes talking to your band mates much easier.

This product is a fantastic idea, however it is very poorly implemented. I bought it because we play in a building where we can not play loudly, as the Jamhub is intended. Most of the time, we consist of 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 keyboard, and 1 electric drum set (I have not tried out the mic, so I can not comment on that part). The small size is convenient and the controls are easy to use, however it is a VERY cheap feeling and cheaply made unit. The pots are scratchy and the levels clip at very low settings (I have plenty of experience in studios, both in front of the board and playing, so I understand about volume levels and clipping). This would be a great unit if it were either 1/3 the price or 3 times better. And as mentioned in other reviews, it is even more worthless without stereo 1/4" cables, which they conveniently will also sell you in an overpriced package. Without them, everything will come out of ONLY the left channel, which is surprisingly more irritating than it would seem. I've owned it for about 4 months now, and it has sat in the box untouched for about 3.5 months. Overall I was very disappointed and plan on selling it.

Comments about JamHub BedRoom 5-Section System:
I live in an 3 level apartment. We built a jam room in the lower level and sound proofed as much as we could. No matter what you do, Bass guitar carries through it all!
Our bass player found this while browsing at random. It takes a bit to set up all your sounds, but once set up, it works like a charm!
We play much tighter than before. Using headphones, you hear every mistake, off time hit, or even bad note while singing.
We had an issue where the clipping light on wedge 2 wouldn't turn off, and the company said they'd replace the unit.
Bottom line- it does what it says it will do, and it saved our jam night!

Comments about JamHub BedRoom 5-Section System:
This was the best thing that I could buy for the band, we now can practice anywhere and almost zero noise. I just wish I could have bought the Green room or the Tour bus models more connections and comes with a remote for the drummer. Cost for those models are a little high but just worth it.

Comments about JamHub BedRoom 5-Section System:
Very happy with this unit so far. I am using it as individual monitor mixes while getting base tracks for recordings. You do need to think in stereo to use this product correctly. I'm taking the overheads mics from my mic preamp (live drums) and combining the signal into an adapter and then going into the instrument input for one of the channels and then using the headphone outputs from the guitar & bass effects units for the others. You can pick up some inexpensive 1/4 inch TRS cables to get the signal over to the unit. You may need some stereo adapters for other connections. The really nice things about this unit is the ability to give each musician their own mix and it does this rather well. Everyone reporting being able to hear much better that using our Presonus headphone distributor, which only gives the whole mix plus more or less of yourself for each person.
Comments about JamHub BedRoom 5-Section System:
JamHub works great, use it to practice with laptop, playing to mp3's or you tube. Did the research and picked up some mono to stereo jacks for a few bucks each. Use a electric drum set (Alesis DM5), Bass, Guitar, and a mic for each guy. Old band mates can't get enough and want to get their home studios set up. Only regret was that I did not get the Tour Bus, would like to be able to record.
Comments about JamHub BedRoom 5-Section System:
This product is simply fantastic. I used to do something similar with a 32 channel desk and several headphone amps. But this works so much better AND the guys can make their own mix without me having to do it for them. I got the remote and even the drummer can make his own mix. It sounds great, it's built great and it lets us play as late as we want without disturbing the wife, kids and cat. Also the JamHub people are awesome. I had a few questions on the stereo connection (which is much better than mono) and they were very helpful. Good company, good people, great product. I'm a fan and can't imagine not having a JamHub to use now that I have this one. The only regret is not going for the GreenRoom model. The extra inputs would be nice for buddies who come by to jam ... and they all love it too.

Comments about JamHub BedRoom 5-Section System:
Jam hub does what it says. The separately controllable mix is excellent. Two minor points....you really do need a stereo cable to get the full effect in both ears. Buy the cable 5 pack. Also, the aux input for mp3, etc., is a 1/4" connection and not a mini jack 1/8" like so many devices take. I needed an adaptor to use my drum machine (MicroBR) and MP3 player (Zune). Otherwise, this is a great product my wife (bass) and I (guitar) use this when we travel so we can practice but don't need to drag amps with us.
Comments about JamHub BedRoom 5-Section System:
I am a guitar player and drummer. The jamhub makes jamming with friends so enjoyable. Everyone can hear clearly with no interference. I recommend getting a good pair of over ear headphones to use.
