Our band, more specifically our keyboardist, thought the JamHub would help rid us of the 'volume wars' and help us hear our vocals better. We are a five piece band, two guitarist, bass, keyboards and drums, and we all sing. We play covers and originals, and gig fairly regularly.First thing: if you do not have modeling processers, you will need them. We all use different mikes, and it's hard to get them all mixed right. If the drummer is using acoustic drums, expect to buy high end headphones to help cancell out the bleed-through. Just understand that the equipment you use right now may not be what you need to use the JamHub, or at least sound good through it. On top of the JamHub, we all had to start spending money on equipment just to play through it. Then we spent alot of time on the JamHub's website forum (which is well set up, by the way) trying to figure out how to sound better, or just sound good. The JamHub is a very clever bit of gear. Having everybody coming through headphones in stereo sounds cool. If you need to practice silently, with your bandmates, this is the way to go. But if you don't need to be perfectly quiet when practicing, just turn down a bit.

The good first. It does give you a complete individual band mix and is fairly compact. It really is the only game in town right now. Now the bad... It's noisey I wouldn't recomend putting any of the channel volumes over 60%. My VDrums are slightly hissy through my pa mixer but through this thing you can easliy get Niagra Falls if your not careful. If you play an instrument and sing using IEM's you'll have a problem getting the vocals loud just in your mix unless you use seperate channels for instrument and vocals. That kinda defeats the purpose of the one person per channel idea. In a band with just one lead vocalist it wouldn'r be a problem but with 3 you'd eat up all the channels fast. Yeah you can try and balance it through the gain knobs but in practice it didn't work out. I'd rather see an FX send and return than using the built in FX. They VERY limited... No EQ at all.. Mine is going back.

We have moved up from the bedroom model to include more of our worship team with the green room. Though not intended for "live" use we are finding ways that work for us including vocalists.
Thanks for the playground.

Comments about JamHub GreenRoom 7-Section System:
I got this unit for Christmas and it rocks. We get to play a lot more now and the sound quality is great. We used to play in a basement and the sound was awful. We had volume fights all the time and the sound was just mush. Thank you JamHub I look forward to jamming more now than ever before. I only wish on thing ... that I had thought of it. Great idea, great product.

I have integrated the JamHub Greenroom monitoring system into my recording studio, with stellar results. Many bands these days wish to record as a unit, always a challenge due to bleed issues. With the JamHub, in which each musician sets/maintains his/her own monitor mix, no one strains to hear or needs to turn up. Setup is quick and intuitive, response from clients has been overwhelmingly positive. At long last, the dreaded "Volume Wars" have been eliminated. As a result, sessions are much more relaxed, and the resulting recording is more natural and easier to mix. Thanks, JamHub - highly recommended.
Comments about JamHub GreenRoom 7-Section System:
The jamhub is truly a life-changing product. My son's band practice has always been a horrendous battle between me yelling at the band to turn the music down, and the band trying to jam loudly. I used to dread band practice. This hub completely does everything it claims. I cannot describe the amount of stress and conflict it removed from our household. I actually encourage practice at my house now. My son's friends can come over with just their guitars and headphones-no amps to lug around, and jam to their heart's content. I hear nothing except a little singing. My in-laws were watching the house in the middle of band practice one day and weren't disturbed ONE BIT. Amazing.I can FINALLY feel comfortable sending my son to other parent's houses to jam out. Transportation is easier as well. He just has to pack up his guitar and jam hub and go. I don't know who loves the jamhub more, me and my wife or my son's band.
Comments about JamHub GreenRoom 7-Section System:
Amazing. This really is a virtually silent practice experience for my family, yet I can get as loud as I want! I couldn't believe how easy this was to set up and start using. The documentation is fantastic! It was the easiest reading and most helpful manual I've had. The most impressive feature is the clarity. I actually believe being able to hear myself without all the "noise wars" has helped me improve only in the past couple of days!
Comments about JamHub GreenRoom 7-Section System:
Not a lot of products excite me like this one did. I'm not sure what to say that hasn't already been said on the JamHub website or by others who've reviewed the JamHub. Practicing with others through the JamHub is the same quality as listening to and practicing to an MP3 or CD. Plus there won't be any more volume wars and no chance of making your family or neighbors crazy with your music...or chaotic noise (as you learn a new song). Even better was getting very quick email responses from the nice folks at JamHub. That alone sold me on this product and this company. You can't say that about all the big companies who make music. Some can't be bothered to return calls or answer email. Buy a JamHub and you won't be disappointed. A great investment for practice or jamming with others!
Comments about JamHub GreenRoom 7-Section System:
This unit is a blessing. You can play more often and it sounds better than any rehersal you've ever had before. BUT, if you connect a bunch of stomp pedals in front of it (like the dude who reviewed it before me) you won't like your sound because the pedals expect an AMP, not a mixer. Use a Line 6 POD or an all analog Tech21 pedal and rock out. You NEED to connect stuff in stereo too. Read the materials on the JamHub site, download the manual, and it will be clear. This is a whole new ball game so pay attention kids. Now my son wants to play bass with me instead of kill me in Halo. And my wife's happy too. VERY cool device. Very solid feeling device. Seems built to last. If it got stolen I'd run right out an buy another.
Comments about JamHub GreenRoom 7-Section System:
After hearing all the hype about this thing i had to check it out for myself...the design is simple enough so once u understand one channel u know them all. If you have a band were the drummer uses acoustic drum (Like Mine) you dont have to worry cuz all you need is a small mixer to mic the drums and run that through for recording or if your not recording youll find that the drums are loud enough without a mic on it. I ONLY have 2 complaints and that is that being that im a guitarist i like using my stompbox distortion pedals rather than my multi effects distortion naturally But running a stomp distortion through this sounds like crap =( & my other complaint is that the nob's feel alittle cheap...Other than that its a great product that will help alot of band.
