KPA100 PA Package

The Kustom KPA100 is a complete PA system package that combines the KPM 4100 Powered Mixer with 2 KSC 10 speaker enclosures.

Kustom KSC 10 speaker cabinets deliver high performance in a smaller-sized format. They provide a heavy-duty Kustom 10" PA speaker combined with a high frequency driver. The result is a full, rich low end and clear, present highs. As with all Kustom cabinets, they're built to last thanks to Kustom's time-tested construction methods, a tough vinyl covering, oversized handles, and corner protectors”plus they're stand-mountable.

The Kustom KPM4100 Powered Mixer delivers true versatility, performance, and power in a compact and economical package. It houses its high-technology electronics in a rugged steel chassis and is protected by a vinyl-covered wooden cabinet. Many features you would only expect to find in more expensive mixers are incorporated in the Kustom KPM mixer: balanced microphone inputs with low-noise preamps, carbon film potentiometers, tape inputs and outputs, and high-quality digital effects with a 100W power amplifier.

The typical uses for powered mixers can be strenuous. Setup, tear down, packing and unpacking, patching and un-patching can take their toll on a mixer. Since 1966, Kustom has been building some of the most rugged amplifiers in the industry and the KPA100 PA has been designed to carry on that tradition.

Many manufacturers design products for the perfect world rather than for the real world. The real world has shorted speaker cables, defective speakers, misconnections, and improper impedances. The KPA100 is designed to be tolerant of the imperfect world. With this product, Kustom delivers an amplifier that ramps up to power within 4 seconds and checks to make sure there are no problems before it allows power to be delivered to the outputs. Also, it will check to see if there are thermal (heated) or short circuits. If it detects a thermal situation, the Kustom mixer will shut itself off until the heat dissipates. If it detects a short circuit, it will continue to pass a signal but it will cause the short circuit protection to engage so that the unit will shut down until the problem is corrected.
