I'm a solo acoustic performer who plays 40-50 gigs a year. I have played many bars with inadequate PA's or no PA at all. If you're deciding between a COMBO acoustic amp (with XLR input for vocals) or a mini PA, I would highly suggest that you check out the KUSTOM Profile. I just made the switch last month. I should have made the switch years ago. The Profile has EVERYTHING you need if you're a primarily acoustic performer. It delivers a super CLEAN sound. The controls are extremely easy to configure (yep, even if you're drunk), and you have sufficient reverb in any setting. Easy set-up and break down. Get the transport bag and the optional speaker stands. There is no line out to a house PA, but no big deal. You'll have more than enough sound with this system, unless you're playing for 200+ loud drunks. Check it out... I'm glad I did.
I purchased one of these to do street ministries and use it to supplement a larger system we use.The sound and quality is great. Use it at home to practice songs when we have other singers over.Although big and heavy it fits in the trunk of the car to carry with us and have instant sound to sing on the spur of the moment.
I purchased this kit about a month ago and I love it. It's great as far as a practice PA goes, actually haven't gotten it out and about as of yet. Running my vocals, my DJ's tables and our sampler's command station through it all works out. Sound is uncompromised and easily mastered for levels. Another plus: hooking it up to my DVD player for a test run on sound. Buy it and try it, don't let the size and price fool you, it's perfect!
I've had the Profile One for 5 years and it has soldiered on through it all. I've beat it up so bad, rolled it down stair cases, left it in the car for days, done over a thousand shows and it's still going (though the FX have died). It's perfect for restaurant, wine bar gigs, private parties, for a solo act. It really pushes it when I have my bassist and drummer back me up (i.e. there's a distortion/compression). And it has no real bass response which sucks for my percussive acoustic style. But it has been my bread and butter and it keeps my audiences happy so I can't complain.
I am a pastor with a small group that meets in a medium sized activity center. We needed to move our equipment in and out efficiently for services. I found this equipment to look good, sound terrific, and found it to be well built, and very sturdy. I mentioned that we meet in a medium sized room, (seats about 40 people). This system does well with this sized crowd, yet it could perform just as well if the room size was double. Use good mics with this system, and it will perform better than you! I had to get used to the mixer knobs, although I am not an engineer, distortion at high volume was almost non-existent. The roller bag gets stares from everyone, it is really cool. Great buy!
I bought this to use for a single-guitar, dual-vocal act. It replaced (and out-performed) a Fender system with 7-band EQ and larger speakers. Beautiful EQ in dedicated guitar channel. Really easy to move.
Purchased this system after reading up on many comparable brands/systems. I use it for practicing in a small studio and for performing at small venues. I've hooked up two mics, a keyboard and a stereo system to it (for playing backing tracks during performances).re: the sound - the effects on the channels work well, and it is well-packaged. I'm not a pro sound engineer, but in a small, crowded venue I can easily be heard over the noise and it sounds nice and clean.re: the whole package - when it's all packaged in the roller bag it's fairly hefty to move about (I'm barely 5' so that might be part of the problem :) ) - Need to take it easy when using stairs, otherwise you could snap the support pegs off the bottom of the bag; also, bag can be a bit tippy, so make sure it's propped against something on a side, otherwise I think the whole package works great for my needs.re: the quality: overall I think it's pretty solid... my only minor gripe is that the cute little kustom stickers on the front of the speakers peeled off within a couple days, but in reading these posts that's a common issue, just took them off. Otherwise, the design is nice and sleek, looks very nice set up, and the controls are easy to use and understand... a monkey can set this up with no problems :) re: overall - I think this offers great sound in an attractively-designed, compact package. I also got a fantastic deal on this system, which was icing on the cake. I definitely recommend this system to folks looking for an affordable, easily portable system which offers great sound for small/med venues.
I have played in bands for the past 30 years and have had many different experiences with PAs in the past, many not pleasant! Lately, I've been performing solo a lot and I needed something that I could use as a main PA in small venues as well as a stage PA in large rooms, using a CD player for backing tracks and a couple of channels for guitar and vocals. The Kustom Profile One has more than proven itself as a reliable, great sounding PA with enough power to crank it out in small rooms. I also use it as a stage monitor system by using the tape outs to run leads to a powered monitor and to the larger house system, all the while cranking it up on stage! The roller case has allowed be to fly this thing from Seattle to Vegas, to Orlando, and back with no problems.I gave the Kustom system high scores because for the price I haven't seen anything that comes close. Great sound, great features, great portability! I am incredibly pleased with it.
We've had this system for a couple of years and love it. We have used it for my son's band at small to medium size gigs. He also uses it to DJ parties. You can't beat how easy it is to hall around too. It's a great small system. The price is reasonable too.
I have owned this product for over a year now,I have hosted small, local accoustic shows, and have been using it for small venues ever since. It I enjoy having it,and love the quality of sound I am able to produce. I am disapointed that there is no way to power a passive monitor fromthe 24 bit mixer but, it doesnt seem to be a problem due to the size of venues I play, Glad I bought it.
