OVERVIEW

A lightweight, low-profile system that provides tone presets to match the sounds of guitar cables.

Line 6's Relay G30 redefines the wireless experience for guitarists and bassists with superior sound, professional dependability, and refreshing simplicity.

The Relay G30 Digital Wireless Mic System provides a pure signal so guitars get a beautiful high-end sparkle and basses get a thunderous low-end punch, even at distances of up to 30 meters (98 ft. approx). The signal's clarity rivals that of the highest-quality guitar cables. Traditional wireless systems compromise their sound by rolling-off crucial high- and low-end frequencies and compressing their signals. Relay G30 offers superior sound with full bandwidth and zero compression.

Professional Dependability
The Relay G30 broadcasts its robust signal over the 2.4GHz band. This keeps the signal free from many kinds of interference. For added security, the system employs exclusive signal protection technology: it broadcasts an encrypted data stream on six channels simultaneously. Traditional wireless instrument systems, on the other hand, are susceptible to dropouts, static, and many other kinds of interference. Broadcasting over congested UHF bands, their signals may be affected by interference generated as far away as 100 miles, or more.

Refreshing Simplicity
The lightweight transmitter of the Line 6 Relay G30 remains out of the way of your performance, and the rugged receiver can sit on top of your amp or be added to your pedal board. The receiver offers bright and easy-to-read LEDs that display power, status, and battery life. Its standard 1/4" inputs and outputs deliver real convenience.

The mic system comes complete with transmitter, receiver, and all necessary accessories including cable, power supply, and batteries.

Attached to Your Guitar Cable?
For players attached to cables, adopting a wireless system introduces many questions: What will it feel like? Will it change my sound? Relay G30 sounds just like a cable, but it also sounds just like your cable. It features two EQ settings that match the frequency responses of typical guitar cables. Different players use different cables, but all players can use Line 6 Relay G30.

The Wireless Mic Revolution
Relay G30 is proudly ushering in a better-sounding and more dependable era of wireless guitar systems. It will inspire you to explore new areas of your music and the stage.

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

I think the Line 6 Relay G30 is a great buy, works very good no signal lost great distance, The sound reproduction is as good as the Mogami cables I was using, other people complained about battery life, I found that using a Duracell 15 minute charger and batteries that come with it work real well with these units, big money saver! The manual says not to use rechargeable batteries but does not describe why. There is no difference in battery size. I have had the batteries sitting in my units plugged in for up to a week, and when turning on they were ready to go. It is nice that the receiver blends right in with my petal array. I have had the same two units for two years and no trouble at all. No trouble with the battery door as describe by others. I put mine in a medium size Neotect cases it fits real nice slides easily in and out to change batteries or change channel on it. The clip I really didn't needed to be removed to use the case but you can if you want. I put a hole large enough to expose the whole jack assembly in the bottom of the case and used a straight to 90 going into instrument seems to work great so far, but before I bought my cases I made a mod on the clip seem to help from clip getting hooked to the point that when you removed from your pocket or strap it would break. I would buy again if I needed to great product and nice not to be tipping over cords no more.

Based on my experience I can't recommend this product at all. I wish I could have it replaced instead of having to keep getting it repaired. Even if it gets fixed, I can't trust it to keep working. It's really embarassing to have your equipment fail during a performance. The compact size and ease of use is great, but what good is that if it's not dependable and is always broken.
Easy to use except I have to use duct tape to tape keep it on my guitar strap. Also doesn't stay on my belt. Just doesn't clip on and stay on well. Great compact size and no antennas. I put the receiver with my pedal board. No difference in sound quality-just like your guitar is plugged into the amp.
It stopped working right in the middle of a song during a gig. Was only 6 months old. Luckily I bought the extended coverage. It took 6 weeks to get it back after the hassle and expense of going to the UPS store and sending it in. The first time I used it after getting it repaired, it stopped working right in the middle of a song at a gig again. So now I have to pay to have it shipped for repair again. The definition of quality is "fitness for use." Since it is not fit for use I have to give it a terrible quality rating.
This product has no value because it fails to work properly

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

I play bass 2-3 weekends a month in my band. The sound quality is very impressive and it reproduces bass very well with no noticeable frequency loss. The construction of the beltpack/transmitter lacks quality and ruins what otherwise would be an awesome wireless system for the money. After dealing with a broken belt clip, battery door and now internal jack, I'm afraid I'm done with it. My advice if you absolutely need to go wireless is to save your money a little bit longer and invest in a higher quality Shure or Sennheiser.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

I bought the Relay G30 for club/GB use. It's compact size and the receiver easily fitting on my pedal board was a huge plus. The sound quality was great. Then, in the middle of a trio gig, the batter door simply busted open. The plastic on the door actually broke in half. The unit took no impact to cause this. Line 6 replaced the transmitter for me. The replacement has a nasty ground hum, which I'm taking up with them currently. It sounds great when it works but the construction is VERY cheap, rendering this unit extremely unreliable.

This device has excellent sound. Used it many times for gigs at bars, stages, and large rooms without any trouble. Works for both electric and bass guitar. Didn't have any problems with the channels. Battery life is good -- just keep extras on hand for gigs that last more than 3 hours. Excellent product! Highly recommend for any serious musician. Probably the best quality for the price out there.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

This bad boy gives a whole frequency bandwidth, which enables my bass guitar to drive all the frequencies. Till date, I have not had any issues with respect to tone loss or interference. Although my biggest concern was tonal degradation by adopting wireless. It helps me to break free of cables, run around and put an act with the peers.
The system is very compact and easy to use. It has LED indicators that helps to be proactive, in terms of power usage, range, signal and alarms.

The only minor negative thing (although it isn't a concern) is that it hogs a lot of power. You have to use high-end AA cells. The one that I use last for about 10 hours. This is one of the best investment I made! Thanks to MusiciansFriend

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

I use this on my Alvarez MD90CE and an Alvarez MD711CE. The MD711CE has a more normal tone through this unit and I don't know why since they both sound the same acoustic and plugged in with a cable. Either way, I have to roll off a little high end on the MD90CE and no so much on the other.
Having said that, expect to change your batteries after each gig. You might get two gigs out of it if you are only doing 3 sets. It has a bit of range, at least as much as you'll find in any small club and it works. Working is the main thing - it sucks to be at a gig and have something not work.
Also, I think it is pretty cheap compared to most other units like it. i didn't bother shopping around. A buddy has had one for a long time and vouched for it - he was right.

I have purchased three of these. All of them had the same flaw. The door that holds the battery pack on the transmitter pops open. Taping it closed helped, but sometimes the batteries still do not make contact. For my purposes, I need a very reliable wireless at my shows. I cannot count on this one, and am tired of the frustration, so I am trying a higher end Shure system. Line 6 really needs to address this design flaw.
