With 1400 watts of tri-amped power and multi-band feedback suppression built in, these compact, lightweight speakers interconnect using the L6 LINK protocol to easily scale from using a single speaker with the built-in multi-channel mixer with digital effects for intimate acoustic gigs to multiple speaker rigs with an external mixer to fill larger venues. And the Smart Speaker Modes can tell whether you’re using it for a floor monitor, pole-mounted, or as part of your backline for acoustic or electric guitars and automatically sets itself appropriately. So it’s easily expandable as your live sound needs grow.

I have used these speakers in two settings so far and they have performed splendidly. The first was to announce the players and play the warm-up music at a soccer field and the second was a school dance in a gym. I was surprised how well they did outside as everything sounds great and was plenty loud all the way across the soccer field. The dance in the gym was good but I should have bought the subwoofers that match the set. I had to take the speakers off the speaker stands in order to get better bass. Admittedly, I was probably asking too much from 10" speakers to fill a gym the way my old JBL 18" subs did, but putting them on the floor helped reinforce the bottom end enough so that I will be holding off for now before I drop another grand+ on something I do as a freebie a few times a year. Have yet to try them out with my band, ColonBlow, but the size of the clubs we play are far smaller than a gym so I am sure it will be fine.

Wow. I mean, what else would you expect from line 6 besides an all around intelligent piece of music equipment? I bought my first l3t a month ago and I haven't unplugged it yet. It works as my personal PA for rehearsing guitar/vocals at home(and will serve as a main during performances), and matched with my apogee duet2 it also works my home stereo. Seriously, the clarity of this thing is so transparent, its like listening through diamonds. Pretty much anything played off of iTunes will sound awesome through the stereo input on the back. I will definitely be buying another one very soon as well as a matching pair of l3s', though the bass on the l3t sounds incredible by itself. A definite must have for any musician\band looking for ease with there sound management. Thumbs up line 6!!!
