Comments about Mackie 2404-VLZ3 Premium 24-Channel FX Mixer with USB Black:

This mixer is amazing, since we decide to buy this one and replace our almost 9 year old peavey mixer, we just realized we were "out".

It has helped us too much, because we still don't have an installed sub-woofer, so we still can't put on the main our bass and bass drum, but with this Mackie, we can send the full mix to Sub 1-2 and record from there, off course, until we get the sub-woofer, we hope get it on November.

In conclusion, this mixer has made an excellent work in our church, we are very satisfied with this purchase.

Also it has great built-in effects, you can combine 1 or 2 on the same channel to get a greater out.

The only thing i would not be totally agree is the "built-in compressor", it's obviously you wont get what a pure compressor can do, instead of that, it helps to get a soft out.

If you can buy it, don't waste time!

          Thank's, Andrew from Mexico.

Comments about Mackie 2404-VLZ3 Premium 24-Channel FX Mixer with USB Black:

This mixer has one of the warmest sounds I've heard. That's probably because of the excellent built-in compression. There are 8 compressors with 4 compressors on channels 17-20 and 4 compressors on the four sub-master channels. I route my vocals to subs 1-2 and my instruments to subs 3-4 and I am able to dial in the perfect compression for each group.

The built-in effect units are also extremely sweet. They have enough options that you can find just the right reverb, delay or chorus for any situation. The ability to tap-tempo the delays is also a great feature for synching your delays to the beat of the song. The effects can be sent directly to the main outs or they can be assigned to channels 20-24 so that you can mix them through the sub-bus before going to the main. That allows you to add compression to the effects mix as well.

The USB output is a nice feature as well. It allows 4 separate channels of output simultaneously. It is also switchable to allow you to send signals from your computer through the USB bus to mix with your main output.

This mixer is amazingly versatile and seems very well built to stand the rigors of travelling from gig to gig. I only wish I could find a case that is made specifically for this mixer. I picked up a Gator case that is good but I would like a better fit.

Buy this mixer, you won't regret it!

Comments about Mackie 2404-VLZ3 Premium 24-Channel FX Mixer with USB Black:

The compressor is the major disappointment. It compressed for a just a second and die.

If you already own one try playing a loud music on channel with compressor unengaged, then turn up the compressor into maximum, listen... it works for just a second and die.
