Comments about Mackie MR6mk3 6" 2-Way Powered Studio Monitor:

I've been recording music for a few years now and in the beginning, all my mixing was done on a pair of Bose headphones and an older pair of computer speakers (that were decent for that application). I finally decided it was time to get serious about my mixing/mastering and bought a pair of these. I've owned them for almost a year now and I couldn't be happier. They've elevated the quality of my tracks immensely. Great for those of you looking for your first pair of monitors or are looking for a good monitor at a fair price.

Comments about Mackie MR6mk3 6" 2-Way Powered Studio Monitor:

After looking through several on line reviews and top ten lists I was planning on purchasing the KRK Rokit 6 monitors however after actually hearing several brands I have decided to go with the Mackie's. They just sounded better - cleaner and crisper sound to my ear. When compared to the Yamaha's they were very similar but at a better price - the Yamaha's had slightly better high end but I preferred the Mackie low end. Before you buy I recommend you actually listen to different brands side by side to find out which ones sound best to you. I was surprised at how well the Mackie's compared!

Comments about Mackie MR6mk3 6" 2-Way Powered Studio Monitor:

I have always used headphones for all of my own recording. I remember how great good studio monitors were when I was in the studio with the band I was with over ten years ago. A friend of mine insisted I get a good set of studio monitors for mixing and I finally broke down and purchased these with some Samson Studio Monitor Stands and a TRS to XLR cable for each. The sound is just impeccable, and truly amazing. I opted for the 6" woofer after reading the reviews about the 5" lacking on the low-pass side. I'm not sure if I'll ever get the subwoofer... unless a few hundred just lands in my lap, but that might buy another guitar. If you don't have the money to spend on these, then either wait, or get something you're comfortable with. I can say I honestly think these were a fantastic investment.

Comments about Mackie MR6mk3 6" 2-Way Powered Studio Monitor:

These are awesome!! They are very accurate. I can hear the changes I make very clearly and are much better sounding that many other major studio monitors out there. Want to see for yourself? Walk into a guitar center and test them against other studio monitors. You will not at all be disapointed with these. Mackie did and awesome job with these over their previous models.
