OVERVIEW

An affordable wireless system that delivers your sound!

The DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System includes the DKW-3 Receiver and the WGT Bodypack Transmitter for wireless instrument operation. It offers exceptional audio that is virtually indistinguishable from that of a cord. VHF (170-216 MHz) operation provides reliable, interference-free performance. The DKW-3 has a typical operating range of 150+ ft.-up to 300+ ft. line-of-sight.

This system is easy to use-simply plug into your audio mixer or amplifier in place of your wired instrument. Advanced audio processing circuitry gives you a wide dynamic range with no overloading for loud inputs or background hiss during quiet use. Controls include a Front panel Power On/Off switch with a Power On LED for easy operation. The back panel has a ¼" audio output jack and DC power input jack for AC/DC adaptor. Special circuitry eliminates transmitter on/off "pop" noise.

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

This unit has worked great for me. It seems sturdier that some suggested in their reviews and the sound is very clear. My wife nor I can tell a sound difference between being wireless or not.
I like the ability to roam the house as I practice. I am glad I bought this system.

I would not recommend this system to a gigging proffesional, as it would most likely crap out after a short time. But for the home hobbyist type of musician, it should hold up for awhile, and it does suit my needs at the present time.
Well it does work OK, But is rather cheaply construsted. It eats 9v batteries very quickly, so I suggest purchasing rechargable 9v batteries and a charging station to keep the your battery costs down. Also the cord that attaches from the tranciever to the instrument produces quite a bit of static and popping while moving around when playing, Also note the belt clip is weak and does not stay attached to my belt very well. Duct tape does help with this problem.
Well it was the cheapest wireless system available. So I guess you get what you pay for.

NADY DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System

Comments about Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System:

Ok, I ordered this on backorder after christmas so we would have one less cable at band practices and at gigs. I use it with my ESP 5 string bass and it works wonderfully! The only problems with it, as others have said, are the clip on the transmitter and the cable that goes from the guitar to the transmitter. The clip is kinda weak and I dropped it within 20 mins of starting to play while standing still. I'd suggest duct taping it to your guitar strap or putting it in your pocket.

Comments about Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System:

Once again because of the 1/4 plug being a bit small and the clip on the transmitter isn't very strong. That being said, I love the thing.
Very basic. I like that.On/stand by/off button, volume knob.
I give it a 7 on this because the1/4 jack on the tramsmitter is a bit small. I had to tweak the guitar input so it wouldn't move around and cut out.
Are you kidding? I'm wireless for this price. That is good stuff.

Good product to get rid of "guitar cable to amp" woes

By Ronin-BTFQ5

Comments about Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System:

best of breed in it's price range.
Well-worth the price as an alternative to more expensive models. Especailly if you want to use in a small studio or garage... in the home. I am impressed with operating quality... it actually sounds better as an input unit to my amp than a simple cord... IE less noise induced.

Comes complete with cable etc.. all you need is a battery. I like this model versus the smaller receiver version. The receiver box on this one is lees prone to abuse being moved around.
All functional out of box.. after installing a 9 V volt battery (not included in package).
Price performer.

SURPRISED!!!!

By Corey Baetz

from Florida

Comments about Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System:

I don't know much about these things but I know Nady is not popular for producing for wireless systems but this one is good.My dad who has been in the music industry for 30+ years was even surprised at how well this system was.It looks cheap but it can handle it.It handled a clear, no interference signal for a good 80 - 100 yds. Now the cable it comes with, the 1/4" to mini cable, it is really cheap and if you move alot it tends to cut out, so you would have to get a better quality one.But other than the cable and the clip this thing is definitely worth the money.
Nothing special, it has a leveler on the transmitter and a volume knob on the receiver, which is good in some ways.It makes my Plexi 1959SLP sound more like a 1978 JMP.
The transmitter is plastic and the clip is terrible, it slides and doesn't clip onto anything. You need to duct tape it to your strap, put it in your pocket, or get a holder for it.
Definitely underpriced.

Buy it, you will not be dissapointed.
Found this product to be very good. No problems right out of the box. This was purchased for church so to be able to play guitar and move around freely and have tested it from the pulpit to all around the church and works great. No more clumsy and dangerous courds to get tangled in. Would highly recommend this system.
great product for the price

Comments about Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System:

I was looking for a wireless system that was not only really good quality wise, but also not as expensive. So I was scrolling and scrolling and saw this the Nady Dkw-3 Gt and bought it. I have a b.c. rich warlock, fender strat, brownsville strat custom, an acoustic and im getting an esp eclipse soon. The Nady Dkw-3 Gt worked perfectly with all of them. The only thing i didnt like was the clip it really sucks and cant clip on anything but thanks to nady you can put the wireless transmitter in your pockets. I though really believe that you should get a wireless they are way better than cables and you could do more with the guitar than you could have with cables. Overall get the Nady it sure helped my scremo, hardcore band The Infinite Disgrace a lot with performance and now because of our movement now on stage we attract more and more fans due to us getting the crowd crazy. Thank you Nady for one amazing wireless system. :)

Great for the money..but, one MAJOR complaint/caution.

      By mangojeep66

      from Chicago, IL.

      See all my reviews

Comments about Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System:

First of all, I need to say I'm happy with this purchase. It's really fun an liberating to walk around the house without a cord, and for some reason it inspires my playing in a different way than if I were just sitting on my couch strumming, or whatever.

However, The cheap little power supply died after the 3rd use.

I checked it with a voltmeter, and it read something like, "0.6 milli-Vdc."....DEAD !!!

Luckily, I have extra 9Vdc supplies laying around the house. But, it appears that the polarity was reversed, ("plus" vs. "minus" i.e.: tip/ring) on all my supplies. This leads me to believe that the power supply provided by Nady is somewhat uncommon with respect to polarity.

In other words, if I would have blindly plugged in one of my "more common" supplies to the Nady..I might have blown the whole unit applying the wrong DC polarity.

      BAD...NADY...BAD !!!

I snipped and re-soldered the plug in reverse on one of my (reliable) Boss supplies, and I was off and running.

I don't want to bother returning the whole unit, or asking for credit. I'm happy with my fix.
I just think that's bad if I played out with this thing and it was just dead like this. Sure, I could just switch to a cord, but that's not cool....right ??????

...maybe I just got a dud, whatever.
      My first wireless:
I'm not ready to spend on a high-end unit that costs several hundred dollars. So, I purchased this realizing what other reviews have said is true: "You get what you pay for."
I have no complaints in this category. It's virtually featureless; simple is best. I put a battery in it, and I was up and running. It's great ! No cord, walk around the house; now, I need to try it at band practice.
I'm only taking 1 point off, here. This unit is super-inexpensive; so, you can't expect the highest quality, and most durable construction. It's very "toy-like." Nady didn't waste an extra penny on the chassis or clips. It was built to keep costs down, and do only one thing: let you play cordless.
I don't want to take this many points off...but, I'll tell you why in overall-rating.

I had this thing for about 3 months. It worked durring practice, but at the first show i went to play with it it crapped out after 2 songs. The next show i played with it, it did the same thing. Its a good wireless for the stay-at-home musician. But if you play shows and travel, This is not for you.

      Ask me a question

Comments about Nady DKW-3 GT Guitar Wireless System:

It's a $50 unit, not a $200 unit, so this one is not as rugged, most likely uses lower quality eletronics components (cheaper caps, etc) so if longevity is a concern I'd spend more and buy a pro unit. This unit can be used for pro gigs once you gain some confidence with it from using it for a while but you best have a backup cable just in case.

If you're a weekend warrior, special events, clubs and the like, you wont find a better wireless anywhere near this price range

This is the perfect wireless for those who can easily switch to a cable if the need ever arises

For the price range, I highly recommend this Nandy Wireless
      - built-in transmittr belt clip
      - transmitter instrument patch cable uses a threaded connector to secure it to the transmitter { 8^D
      - Includes everything you will need: receiver, Xmiter, ac power adapter, instrument patch cable
the good, the bad & the ugly

      - I'm not sure why both the receiver & the Xmiter have a volume control, but they do.
      - Both receiver & Xmiter have plastic cases
      - the xmiter power switch is a bit hard to slide (this is a good thing, means it will endure much use)
      - the receiver's front panel is ugly, it makes the unit lok too cheap to buy (I'm referring to the blue patch of color)
      - the 1/4" output jack on the receiver is questionable, doesn't have a solid "click" feel when inserting the amplifier input cable and it pulls out of the jack much too easily. Don't let this stop you from buying this unit but maybe consider replacing the jack once the 90 day warranty runs out
      - there is a guitar strap mounted Xmiter available, highly recommended Neotech Wireless Pouch Medium Item # 367509000000118
So far, so good. Seems an excellent value for the money. Just don't drop it on a hard surface and it should last a long time (that's why I recommended the strap pouch). I didn't want to pry open the cases so I can't comment on the build quality of the electrionics, PCB, etc but after one week of use at home, I've experienced no problems, no drop outs, works as it should

If this thing lasts only for one year, I will buy another one! Great for the money
There really are no features, it is very simple. One channel, on off and standby. It doesn't make any noise, very quiet.
This thing is very light and cheaply made, don't know how long it will last but it seems to work well.
Where else can you buy a wireless system for this price that actually works
