The Nady MC-8 2-Way Speaker boasts a state-of-the-art PA design, and has an 8" woofer, a wide-angle, short-throw horn with 1" compression driver, and 150W power handling. I got these in a pair, to use for a stereo guitar setup with a GNX4 and a NADY amp. They handle power nicely, clean sound, and they're lightweight and convienent. They're small/light enough to use for all sorts of things: monitors, mains for a tiny place/acoustic solo work, or instrument use. BUT: they have no pole-mounting, and the wall/screw mounts are only useful if you buy brackets for them. The MAIN thing is this: the frequency resonse is VERY uneven; there's no midrange and the top end is tinny. I was able to correct this with a pair of 31-band EQs, and now they sound great, but don't expect them to sound good out of the box.

I bought my set about a year ago and when i got them i had to send one back because the horn did not work and later on i was playing a gig and they other horn went out so i think if you going to buy these dont expect much .the saying goes you get what you payed for!!! and these speakers have alot of feed back .so if you are going to buy something you need to buy (good stuff)

We have been using these speakers for the last 5 years in our band. we use them for mains and for monitors. We play mainly in churches and nursing homes and do not need huge loud speakers. These sound clear and good, are light and easy to set up.
Great speaker for a great price. Loved the fast and free delivery...that made it worth the order.

I have 5 of these and would buy many more if needed. They have a very clear and crisp sound and are light for travel. I also have a studio and I use 2 of them for monitors.

I posted my first review of these 4 years ago. I'm still using them and despite being abused regularly, they still sound good. I've used these to provide sound for outdoor performances by acoustic groups, indoor use in theaters, either in the pit or for vocals, and many other applications. As long as you don't expect pounding bass and stadium volumes, they deliver.

Sounds warm and solid with my dynamic microhphones. Good for vocal, speech and light musical instruments. Peacefully match for small chapel. Small size and low cost can do a great job. A+ choice!

GREAT little speaker, however the NADY site spec list states that this cabinet is " 4-ohms ", meaning that many/most P.A.'s will only be able to handle one cabinet per side if the P.A. amp is " stereo '.Be CAREFUL !!!

I purchased these to use in small venues, very nice for solo or duet acoustic act in small halls. I use a 300watt 8 channell mixer and they work great. Only complaint is the small tube size in the bottom of the speaker, I have to buy adapters.

I bought these just for home karaoke. Then I tried it for small KJ parties and ever since then ive been using them on KJ gigs. Not bad and good sounding little guys..Great for small karaoke gigs!

These speakers are a good buy for the money. You won't be able to rock the stadium with a pair of them, but for small spaces, they do fine. I'm biamping and using them with a subwoofer. As long as the power handling as stated in the manual is observed, and with proper equalization, they work great. The HF horns are surprisingly crisp and provide even, adequate small-room projection (BTW, the HF diaphragms are NOT Titanium, they are Mylar on the MC-8)... Just remember: Speakers don't cause feedback, people do... ;-)
