I have had a set of these for about 3 years. I do karaoke and dj'ing. Mostly dance music with a lot of low end. In this time I have gone through 3 Behringer 18's but have not had a single problem with these. Great low end that doesn't need a lot of power. I haven't used the crossover, I run an active crossover and would recommend that you use 1 for every PA. You really can't beat these for the price!

I have a pair of these and was gigging with them. During the second set of the show I smell something burning. Thought it was an amp going bad, but upon examination of my equipment found that the sub crossovers had litterally melted off of the board they were mounted on. I am totally disappointed in the quality of the components inside the subs. I was running them at recommended wattage and definately did not expect to melt anything. Now I have bypassed the passive crossover and went to an active crossover. We'll see haven't gigged that way yet.

Comments about Nady PSW15 600W 15" Subwoofer:
I have been using these for 3 years of DJing with no problems. Yes there are better quality 15" subs on the market, but for the price, these have done an excellent job for me. One grill screw loosened once, which I easily repaired, tightening it along with a toothpick and some wood glue. The bass is excellent. I drive them hard for up to and over 3 hours at a time, often in hot weather conditions. They have never complained. They do put out good bottom on the dance floor. The later models, like mine, have no built in passive crossover. I use them with an active crossover, and use 10" 2-way mains on poles above these. The sound is LOUD and full. Enjoy.
There are no passive crossovers in these anymore. Passive crossovers are for home stereos, not PA equipment.
Could be better, but I haven't had any problems that I could not easily fix.
Hard to beat.
Comments about Nady PSW15 600W 15" Subwoofer:
First the good: Metal pole mount and sounds okay. Now the bad: Cheap Chinese pressed wood- the nice pole mount was loose right out of the box, screws were all stripped out of the wood. Black felt like covering (not real carpet)-won't last if you're a gigging musician or DJ. My other one (yes, I bought two) had a broken 1/4"jack, right out of the box, also. I sent them back. Spend your money on a better, more expensive subwoofer than the Nady PSW15. It would possibly be okay in a fixed location where you don't have to move it.

After searching on a budget, I bought 1 for live performances. Goes great with my 4 x 10's and needed the low end for my 5 stringer. Nice low end. Watch the crossover, cheap. But the speaker and cab are good. Worth the $ for the sound. Not recommended for live sound. Cant handle all the watts. I'm splitting an ampeg and it sounds great.

Bought mine in 9/08. The passive crossover is no longer part of the design. I use mine with an active crossover and they perform very well. No rattles, no failures yet and I have pushed them hard for up to 4 hours at a time.

I took a chance and ordered one. I love it! It looks great (much better than the pics), works perfect and sounds great. Is it as good as Yamaha or JBL? Probably not but the price doesn't compare either. If you're lacking that bottom end punch in you PA this is the ticket. It is much more than I had hoped for. I recommend it highly!
Comments about Nady PSW15 600W 15" Subwoofer:
Both of mine arrived with the copper coil of the low pass filter dangling from a broken wire. Remove all that, run the wire directly to the speaker, and use an active crossover. While you're at it, glue in a solid plywood ring inside the front and use longer screws to reattach the speaker. Sounds wonderful with my little Yamaha Club Series SM 10s on top. BiAmp!

This thing is loud.
Comments about Nady PSW15 600W 15" Subwoofer:
I purchased a pair of these subs to use for part time dj-ing, and live music application. They sound pretty good when used for dj-ing. As far as live music, if your playing small clubs they sound decent, are easy to maneuver, and are very cost efficient.
