I shopped several outlets and did extensive research regarding wireless microphones before selecting the Nady UHF-10. I believe the performance rivals that of a Shure 58 at one-third the price. I run mine through an Alesis MultiMix 12R Rack Mixer and have complete control of the mic's abilities. The receiving unit has indicator lights that let you know your signal strength. I tested the Nady UHF-10 at a high school football field and was able to receive the signal in the press box from any part of the field! I have always had good luck with Nady equipment.

This unit offers very clear communication between the transmitter and reciever. I did not find a lot of handling noise at all, but then again...the mic element is extremely passive. I found that it's response tended to stay toward the lower end of the spectrum, and that it was not very sensitive at all. I play hard rock, and I work the microphone as I sing. Due to this, I need a lot of sensitivity and accurate reproduction of my voice. If you are going to use this for a speaking mic, or hardcore/screaming type music it will probably work well for you. If you need sensitive vocal reproduction that works well at most dynamics, steer clear...the element is not good enough. Overall, the electronics are great in this though.

Good Value

This a great mic for the price I use it right along side Shure wireless mics it holds it's own,, BUT BEWARE there is a lot of handling noise i.e. as you move your hand or touch the mic it's easy to hear the noise. I was skeptical about it I bought it for a big confrence, it worked great but the noise from from handling is there. But for the price I still might buy another.

What a mic!

I've used Shure mics, Sennheiser mics, Peavey mics.. absolutely NOTHING compares to this little baby! I got it as a birthday gift last year, and have been bringing down clubs with it ever since! I paired it with a Behringer tube preamp between the reciever and mix board, and it blew me away! Amazing clarity, no vocal distortion! This thing should be WAY more expensive than ANY Shure wireless mic!!

Great for the man on a budget.

By Kainoa AL

I purchased 7 mics and been using it for 3 years. overall the mics perform well, we do oldies with live vocals and prerecorded music and a lot of audience participation. The only setback is the battery compartment on these mics. They should build it more solid to where the contacts will not get loose after changing out batteries after a while.

This wireless mike has a warm tone and plenty of signal strength. For a little more than a Nady VHF wireless mike, you get a much better product.

I was sceptical about this one but felt I couldn't lose at this price. This mic perfornmed awesomely. The tone was nice and mellow and you can work the mic for tonal changes.Battery life seemed a little short, but I gave her a good workout.Totally Awesome Mic with no feedback problems until you got right in the face of the speaker.10 stars dude!!!!!

Very Impressed

By L. Young

from Georgia

I use EV, Shure, Audio Technica, wireless every week. I took a chance with one of these Nady UHF-10 mics and was pleasantly surprised that there was no discernable quality difference in the mic's sound. I plan on extending my collection with more of these mics. I recommend.
