Overview

A super compact, bus-powered interface paired with guitar amp, cab, and FX modeling software.

Native Instruments' Guitar Rig MOBILE brings together an ultra-portable, bus-powered 24-bit/192 kHz audio interface with the powerful selection of amps, cabinets and effects from the GUITAR RIG 4 ESSENTIAL software. The result: perfect custom tone anytime and anywhere you want.

The Guitar Rig MOBILE I/O audio interface is only the size of a cigarette box and weighs less than a chocolate bar, yet it is built to the same high standards that the Native Instruments audio interface line is known for, with an eye for stylish and practical design and an ear for high-end quality. To provide maximum sound quality, the ultra-compact Guitar Rig MOBILE I/O interface packs the same award-winning 24-bit/192kHz Cirrus Logic converters used in the GUITAR RIG SESSION I/O and the RIG KONTROL 3. For connectivity it features an instrument input and a stereo output for monitors or headphones.

8 Supreme Amps
The GUITAR RIG 4 ESSENTIAL software offers 8 amazing guitar and bass amplifiers, modeled with the exacting precision of NATIVE INSTRUMENTS' award-winning Dynamic Tube Response Technology. Including the original multichannel designs and model-specific tweaking options, these amps not only accurately convey the character, charm, and feel of their real-world counterparts, but also offer a huge arsenal of tried-and-true tones for all genres. The included Matched Cabinets module offers a harmonized speaker setup for every single amp.

Hot Plex:
We all love the classic Plex sound, but wait until you hear this gain-spiced version of it. A generous amount of distortion will boost your vintage tones into the future.

Lead 800:
This smooth, intense lead sound cuts like a knife and offers plenty of flexibility. While the Plex works very well for both chunky rhythm sounds and leads, the Lead 800 gives a brighter, more edgy sound.

Jump:
The sound of the Jump is a well-behaved alternative to the Lead 800”sporting a bit less gain, but at the same time perfecting the smooth, singing lead sounds we love to hear from British amps.

AC Box:
The AC Box delivers the famous sound that powered the British conquest of pop music. Native Instruments chose a model that not only features a unique flavor but also some nice circuit wizardry adding a Brilliant channel.

Citrus:
If you're yearning for that 70's British sound with a bunch of flavor, the Citrus amp is for you. Its tones range from the edge of clean to gritty distortion when master and gain controls are cranked.

Gratifier:
The Gratifier emulates a famous multichannel solo head with a tube power amp. A fourth channel has been added to span the tonal range from clean to over-the-top distortion.

Twang Reverb:
The Twang Reverb simulates the rich tube sound of a classic amp from decades ago. It is ideal for screaming blues leads, crunchy rhythm guitar sounds, as well as clean sounds laden with personality.

Bass Pro:
This monster bass amp delivers that gritty, growling sound that really makes a bass stand out in a mix. In addition to the unique tonal qualities, there's also a graphic equalizer to allow the sound to be tailored more precisely.

Fine-tuning
Along with the standard settings, each amplifier offers more sound-influencing "Expert Parameters", including power supply (50/60Hz), "Variac" (reducing the supply voltage), "Response", as well as virtual "aging" of the tubes. This provides excellent sonic fine-tuning for real gear heads and sound fetishists.

Effects to pimp your sound
The GUITAR RIG 4 ESSENTIAL software comes with a useful collection of professional effects which can be combined in any order or quantity you desire. Two distortion components, three delay units, four equalizers? No problem!

Every single effect unit has been completely overhauled to provide you with the best imaginable sound quality. What's more, nearly all of GUITAR RIG's components can now be switched to true stereo. Whether you're playing with two guitars, creating space-y effects in virtual rooms or just processing a stereo signal from your sequencer, true stereo is what you need, and what you get with GUITAR RIG 4 ESSENTIAL.

Effects include:
Distortion and overdrive
GUITAR RIG 4 provides you with six excellent fuzz, distortion, and overdrive units. These components are accurate reproductions of classic hardware devices, and sound just like the originals.

Modulation Effections
This section offers you a great collection of modulators that can be be inserted anywhere in your rig: tremolo, octaver, rotating effects, chorus, flanger, and a swirling 70's style phaser.

Modifiers
Synthesizer users know modifiers as "modulators". For the first time, this feature is now available for guitars: GUITAR RIG's modifiers can automatically animate any sound parameter thus generating especially vivid sounds with a live feel. They can even control several parameters at once or be used in multiple instances in the rack”a paradise for sonic experiments. The GUITAR RIG 4 ESSENTIAL software comes with two modifiers:
¢LFO (low frequency oscillator) with five waveforms - for continuous or arbitrary modulation

¢Input Level - an envelope follower transforming the volume of the input signal into a control signal, e.g. the louder you play, the more distortion you'd get

Time-based effects
Delays and reverbs are the bread and butter of every guitarist's arsenal, which is why we took extra care to deliver the finest selection of virtual delays and reverbs available. Based on award-winning NI algorithms, these units will go the distance on any setup. Whether you want to warm up your sound with some spring reverb, or use complex tempo-synced delays, you'll find your perfect treat in the Reverb and Delay Bank.

Filter Effects
Filtering is one of the most powerful ways to shape your sound, and GUITAR RIG 4 offers several great tools to do it. Choose from an impressive range of filter-based effects, from wah-wah's to EQs.

Volume Effects
Volume effects are capable of much more than just simple loudness control. You'll find a range of tools to dynamically or interactively adjust levels - from Volume Pedal to Noise Gate and Compressor.

Split Module
The Split Module allows you to create parallel (instead of serial) effects chains. This means you can process the split the sound and process it with different effects and then mix the results back together at the end. Serial, parallel, and mixed serial/parallel combinations offer a practically limitless range of possibilities for combining effects, for a truly original sound. The Split Module can be inserted anywhere in the rack.

New matched cabinets
The ground-breaking mic'ing technology of GUITAR RIG 4 is taking credit for a drastic improvement of all 14 Matched Cabinets. Masking the magic with a simplified, efficient interface, it delivers the same incredible tone as the Control Room (found in GUITAR RIG 4 PRO). Its A/B slider is a crossfader between two combinations of cabinet and microphone, offering tastefully adapted variations to the core characteristics of each amp. The Dry/Air slider makes sure your sound gets just the room it needs by the tip of your mouse.

Plug & Play: The Presets
With GUITAR RIG 4 you don't have to enter the abyss of sound design yourself to find a perfect guitar sound: over 100 presets, designed by professional guitarists and bass players, offer instant tone satisfaction in any situation. Plus, you can download many more exclusive presets by famous GUITAR RIG 4 users from Native Instruments when you register your GUITAR RIG 4 MOBILE.

Over 100 Presets
The preset collection of GUITAR RIG 4 ESSENTIAL offers a great range of guitar and bass sounds and setups, from clean to hi-gain, from classic to experimental”all perfectly sortable by keywords for your convenience:

For every guitar and bass amp, there's a selection of common and well-balanced setups to start you off. You can also look for sounds by browsing through popular genres or different categories of special effects. The latter also contains presets for processing other instruments such as drums and synths. To get you inspired with signature tones, the Songs category contains plenty of presets paying homage to legendary guitarists and famous studio productions.

Collecting Songs
Enabling what's impossible with hardware amps and effects, the preset system is at the heart of GUITAR RIG 4's usability. The completely redesigned Preset Browser is an effective and intuitive sound management system at your service. Saving your virtual rack as a preset and recalling it anytime later is a matter of seconds, so you'll never again lose that one magic constellation of knobs. When it comes to separating the wheat from the chaff, the sleek new rating system is a real time-saver.

With the completely redesigned Preset Browser and a new high-performance search function navigating through your collection is a joy”either by browsing through lists by keywords (Tags), or by typing some letters into the search bar. And there's much more:
¢Use tags and sub-tags to organize your presets any way you want
