The Numark DJ/iO audio interface for all DJ software is compact and rugged enough to live in your gig bag, but powerful enough to provide solutions for a wide range of computer audio needs. The DJ/iO gives software—based DJs, performers, and producers a range of options for outputting their final audio, whether in the form of a live mix or a just—completed new track. DJs and producers pass audio from their software—based application of choice through a traditional mixer (for multi—channel mixing) and output to a pair of stereo RCA connections, via a forward—thinking USB 2.0 connection. In addition, the DJ/iO features 1/4" microphone input and pass—through to Stereo RCA jacks for quick and easy voiceovers.
The DJ/iO features ultra—low latency audio (via ASIO drivers), with two independent RCA stereo outputs, a mic input with adjustable gain on stereo pair #1 and a 1/4" stereo headphone output on stereo pair #2. The DJ/iO is USB bus-powered and also operates with a 9V DC external power supply (sold separately) for those who have exceeded the power output of their existing USB bus.

this is a great little device. I use it for djing gigs and has never let me down i dont know why people are complaining. I found it easy to set up and just an all around great product:)

This is an update from my last review. I ended up returning the DJ/IO and purchased the Native Instruments DJ 2. That little interface works great. Sorry Numark, your interface and Tech Support were not up to par.

I bought this unit to go with my Numark DMC2 and virtual DJ. For a while I couldn't figure out what was making my system stall for a brief second. Then I finally figured out it was the DJ IO. After speaking to Numark Tech Support, they gave me the proper settings for the software. It works ok now but I'm always worried about the stalling. When you're mixing at a club, there could never be any type of stoppage to the music even if it is for just ne second. Since I invested into Numark Products, I'll stick with it for now.

I recently purchased this interface along with a Numark Stealth Control. I do frat/sorority type parties and so reliability and flexibility is key. This is made by Numark and works great with Numark products. I can't say for others but for me, following the guidelines and instructions has proved to work out great! It is a little too lightweight/plasticy for my taste, but still solid and works great!

I just bought this soundcard after my Indigo DJ card got smashed up by some drunkards at a Christmas party last weekend. The features are nice (2 sets of outputs, routes to headphones, mic in) but the thing is a piece of garbage! I used it to DJ a holiday party and there was alot of digital arifact noise. I needed to reset the bit-rate a couple of times. Also, this thing is not compatible with my Behringer BCD 2000 midi-controller. It keeps making the mixer stall. Bad news when your a professional DJ. I'm sorry, but I need 100% reliability from my soundcard as a professional DJ. I'm returning this and ordering the Indigo card again, worth the wait and shipping costs.
