These hold up just fine in a home studio and I'd even use them in a more pro atmosphere as well. The bass is heavy but tolerable. Not a lot of isolation so might not work for a drummer who's tracking. I'd never listen to a final mix on these, but for a slam punk band tracking a demo on your off day I don't think there would be a complaint from the guitar player about too much low end in his ears while doing an overdub on "Scum Sister".

Bass is good, the highs seem to me to be missing altogether. Construction seems adequate to me, although I wouldn't recommend stepping on them and I'd be careful about the possibility of snapping the plastic headband while putting them on, particularly if you happen to have a very large head. I would add that my experience with Numark mixers is one of nice design and poor inner construction that leads to problems. Perhaps the same is true of the headphones, but I decided to try them because they were so cheap and the guy who's been in the business for 25 years likes them so much. But I'm afraid I disagree as to the sound.

Comments about Numark HF-125 Dual-Cup DJ Headphones:

These are cheap headphone, don't expect the world. To be fair, they are well built for the price and are sturdy. The sound quality is not very good, it breaks up quickly with anything under 100hz. Spend an extra ten spot and get the Behringer HPS 3000, they are adequate and worth thier price.

        Decent Headphones

        By bouncing lady bug

        from New Mexico

Comments about Numark HF-125 Dual-Cup DJ Headphones:

The headphones are great for the price. They are durable and have decent sound.
These headphones have good padding and are gentle on the ears. They come with a removeable connector so it can be used both with an ipod or stereo. The cord length is good. They are a little tight at first (as most headphones are) but they will loosen up.
The sound quality is decent. If you want excellent sound, then I recommend spending a little extra money on a better set. But, for the money, I think the sound is good.

Also, I'm pretty rough with things. I've dropped them a few times, got them tangled in things, and squished them between a whole bunch of stuff and they are still doing good. That's important to me.
        The price is great.

        Better than expected

        By Jill Yoakam

        from Undisclosed

Comments about Numark HF-125 Dual-Cup DJ Headphones:

These sound so much better than my upgraded headphones for my ipod. The sound quality is amazing and they seem to bring out the bass. I bought them to use with my electric guitar amp and again it really allows you to hear the detail of what is being played.
6 foot chord and much padding.
        So far, so good.
I didn't expect much since they were inexpensive. Since, have bought these for my Dad.

        Headphones for backup

        By Anonymous

        from Undisclosed

Comments about Numark HF-125 Dual-Cup DJ Headphones:

I'm a professional dj from Hungary and have used these headphones once for backup. Although they don't need much room, when resting it on your neck, they do get uncomfortable after wearing it on your ears. The diameter of their capsule is not wide enough for comfortable wear and I agree with the comment that their highs are non-existent. If you want to start dj-ing or use these for home use they are decent enough but for further aims get a more expensive one.

Comments about Numark HF-125 Dual-Cup DJ Headphones:

Numark HF-125 Headphones are the best headphones that I have ever had. I have been in the music industry for 25 years. I use headphones very hard. High's & Low's are the superb. These headphones don't give up. They were well worth the wait.
