I was initially not impressed with the TTUSB because I believed that you are forced to use their provided software in conjunction with iTunes (both of which I do not like). I also believed that it could only record to MP3 format. This was because of the poor documentation that doesn't state otherwise. Also, when the TTUSB was connected, I would not get any sound from my sound card. Well, after some experimentation, I discovered that the TTUSB was being set as the default audio interface in the "Sounds & Audio Devices" of the Windows control panel (which was easy to switch back to my sound card). By setting the TTUSB (USB Audio Codec) as the default record device in Windows you can use any recording software and save to just about any format. Overall the recordings are very good quality and the only real complaint I have is the poor documentation, lackluster software and the fact that the gain control is located underneath and toward the rear of the turntable.

The EZ Vinyle Converter Windows software that comes with this is weak- The turntable is good but the software needs some help. There is no pause button in the software to stop recording between tracks. Your option is limited to a new track button which is fine and dandy for recording one side, but there is no way to pause recording when you flip the wax. You just have to deal and then erase the blank track later. There is probably some shareware available that could spice this package up but I have not started that quest yet. I think there are more sophisticated packages available where the software automatically detects when a track is done- that would be more desirable.

Easy to set up and now I can play my records again. Should have a cover as my first one broke when something fell on the tone arm and broke the weight.

Comments about Numark TTUSB Belt-Drive Turntable with USB Audio Interface:
I bought this for my daughter who wants to start collecting "records" and she loves it! I've been a musician for many years and have experience with expensive turntables. We may graduate to one of those after a few years but the TTUSB is the perfect place to start. It converts vinyl to Mp3, has a 1/8" input for virtually any music player and it really sounds great (good enough to know you're listening to vinyl). Best of all, it comes with everything we needed including the head shell and cartridge.
Comments about Numark TTUSB Belt-Drive Turntable with USB Audio Interface:
If you want and inexpensive, quality turntable to transfer your media, then; this is it. If you find better, buy it.
Unit is easy to connect, run software and "get working". Realizing features are cost additive, but; separate connection for the RCA instead of permanently wired would have been adventageous and allowed use without dealing with cords not connected "hanging" on the device. The gain adjustment is very difficult to access, but; once adjusted it is generally established and the software allows "fine-tuning" the gain when previewing the material to be recorded. One should accept that it is an inexpensive turn table to transfer media to the computer and a lot of value is received for the bucks spent. One very nice offering would have been for the software to allow a transfer option of recordings directly to a file on the computer instead of only to i-tunes.
Also, it would have been a nice feature to have a device ("lever") to lift the tone arm instead of physically lifting near the stylus. But again, want those features...pay more bucks...and a lot of "bang-for-bucks" are already received as designed.
It predominately plastic, but; so is a lot of your car. Don't mishandle or drop it and one should be ok. Stylus and sound are excellent.
You get your "monies-worth". I don't think for the money it can be "touched".
Comments about Numark TTUSB Belt-Drive Turntable with USB Audio Interface:
Vista is my OS. The EZ Vinyl/Tape Converter software works very well for what it is supposed to do - it very easily puts tracks into iTunes. It does not edit. Download the latest version. Follow the software manual directions AND the updated directions on the sheet in the carton. Note: I found out that iTunes must be the default audio file player. Adjust the recording level in your software if you are not able to acheive a good level in EZ. Comment: From reading a lot of reviews for all kinds of electronics, and then purchasing those electronics, I've come to believe that the vast majority of people who report negative experiences are people that cause their own problems, then blame the item or software.
The turntable has most of the necessary features - stylus force and anti-skating adjustment. It does not have an RPM strobe (it has RPM adjustment and a 0% light, so one must have a certain amount of trust).
It does not look like my turntables of old - no wood, all plastic - but it works (so far - I've only had it for two weeks). It was packaged very well.
So far I'd say it is a great value - well worth the 2 month wait.

Get one there great
I was a little confused with the directions but I stuck with it and the turn table is working fine I love it.I made two dvds already listen to them in the car GREAT.The only thing is I need a vinal record cleaner as my records are very old and dirty.witch has nothing to do with the turn table. But if your records are dirty you might want to get a cleaner as the dirt makes them skip.
I am very glad I got this one it works great.
Best price on the internet.
Comments about Numark TTUSB Belt-Drive Turntable with USB Audio Interface:
Over all, this is a really crappy turntable. I would go for something cheaper.
It is a USB turntable, but it is gives out a LOT of feedback when plugged in through the USB. I just have it on RCA jacks, hence, like a regular turntable.
Like I said before, it gives a ton of crappy feedback when converting through USB. And it sounds really loud, even with out all that feedback.
You can get a regular turntable for around thirty to forty dollars. This one is just as good and it's a great price.
Comments about Numark TTUSB Belt-Drive Turntable with USB Audio Interface:
I have had this unit for maybe nine months. It died last night. Apparently the on/off switch is broken, because it will not turn at all. So I switched out with my regular turntable, and realized some other things I don't like.1) It's operation is not very smooth, more 'clunky'.2) It is extremely sensitive to movement.I do like that it can play 78s because my regular turntable will not.Of to shop for a better model.

Comments about Numark TTUSB Belt-Drive Turntable with USB Audio Interface:
Piece of cake to install and get started. The turntable and supplied cartridge produce a wonderfully clear and "round" analog sound. And better still, I find the produced MP3 comes out with the same warm "feel" - better than a store-bought CD.
