This clip is a very good value, hold the mic securely, but the suspension seems a bit too stiff to be effective in removing shocks.
This clip is nice for a generic, but the suspension itself seems a bit too stiff to be truly effective in removing shocks. In this case, it's holding a condenser mic mounted on an LP claw, attached to a cymbal stand on my drum kit, just to save space and clutter in my all-too-small studio space. Lucky for that, because the shock and impacts it does transmit get knida lost in the din of a drum set. I'll have to do more testing to see if it's effective on other circumstances.
The piece is built well and holds the mic very securely
To get something equivalent from a major manufacturer can cost $40-$70, so this one's a steal.

I,ve used this clip for a year and never had a problem with it. It takes a beating when we load and unload.
