Mix, monitor, and record to a Mac or PC DAW.

The PV 14 USB mixer features built-in DSP effects with multiple reverbs and delays, plus vocal enhancer and much more, while a USB port allows direct connection to a USB-equipped computer for recording from the mixer or playing back digital audio (compatible with Mac OS X, Windows XP, ME & 2000). It also includes pre-fader monitor sends; post-fader effects send; inserts on all channels; and dual, switchable line inputs on the two stereo channels. All PV Series audio mixers include Tape to Control Room and Tape to Mix assigns, which allow the operator to monitor an external stereo signal without using any of the mixer's channels. In addition, the mixers' Control Room output sends a stereo master output signal to an external source for monitoring. Phantom power, effects send and a contour switch are also standard on all models.

Comments about Peavey PV 14 USB 14-Channel Mixer with Digital Output and Effects:

I moved up from PV10, and gained the USB connection. USB is good but if I want to record the midi controller seperate I still have to bring it into a channel. Over all I am satisfied with Peavey and has been reliable. Don't know much about their service department, never have had to use them.

      Church Tech

      By Homer Beckner

      from Florida

Comments about Peavey PV 14 USB 14-Channel Mixer with Digital Output and Effects:

If not used with long haul mic runs using phantom power, it works fine.
      Good features
This mixer wouldn't work properly in our church. It picked up stray radio stations. It was the mixer because two other mixers, a Mackie and a Yamaha worked fine without picking up any radio channels. Stray signals came in on lines connected to condenser mics requiring phantom power. E-mailed Peavey but they never responded.

No problems so I give it a 10.
Good features and computer can be plugged in. Controls laid out good.
Well built and steal housing. Controls appeear to be good quality.
Price OK. I could always use a cheaper price on anything.

The best sound quality you can get inthe market

      By Jose Rivera

      from Florida

Comments about Peavey PV 14 USB 14-Channel Mixer with Digital Output and Effects:

For the price and the sound quality there is nothing better out there.
I have been using this mixer for about 4 years, and all I can tell you is that is worth the money, the preamps are super quiet, is perfect for home recording, (I record about 3 home recordings) I’m actually using it for church with Senheisers microphones, yamaha power amp, and speakers, and the sound is crystal clear. Good metal case, good quality. If you are looking for a small mixer with a top of the line sound quality, look no further this is the one for you I recommended it.

Great mixer but USB lacks functionality

      By J.R.-O8B10

      from Flint, MI

Comments about Peavey PV 14 USB 14-Channel Mixer with Digital Output and Effects:

The PV14 USB is a great little mixer, but I was very disappointed to find that when using the USB as an audio input from my laptop, the audio is not fed to the Monitor Send output, it only went to the Main outputs. Not a big deal since the board has stereo inputs, but it forces me to use two channels (stereo) and a patch cable when using my laptop as a CD player for live performances when I need to have audio sent to the monitors (which is 95% of the time). Called and wrote an email to Peavey Customer Service, both responses say this is normal operation. That was my only reason for spending the extra $$ for the USB feature. With that in mind, you could save several dollars by purchasing the non-USB version if you planned on using the USB the way I thought I could. Great product, would by it again, just the non-USB version instead.

      Can't Beat It

      By Drums'R'Life2112

      from Chicago, IL

Comments about Peavey PV 14 USB 14-Channel Mixer with Digital Output and Effects:

Great Little Mixer for the price, love the FX, powerful EQ. Insert sends make for easy hookup to an outboard FX unit. USB output great for recording on both windows and Mac and with whatever software you use. * Note that it does NOT send 10 separate tracks when recording but the main stereo output only. Shouldn't be a setback with this thing though!

      Nice MIX of features

      By syntaxmax

      from Everett WA

Comments about Peavey PV 14 USB 14-Channel Mixer with Digital Output and Effects:

So I recently purchased this mixer... Nice value well laid and out easy to figure out... The only thing I didnt like about it was that the USB output is only 2 Track stereo MIX for sending to Cubase or other software. The USB input is also 2 Track as well. Nice if you are using a PC at live gigs to get a live MIX. The only other thing I didnt like was that the USB recording has a slight delay so it is not realtime nor does it show up as ASIO (that I can tell) I think overall I would buy it again. The rack ears are extra though. I used this with a new PV2600 AMP and a Behringer Super X Pro XOVER. Nice sound for our gigs now.
