good bump, bad bump

Comments about Peavey SP 218 Dual 18" Subwoofer:

I own two pairs of these subs along with two pairs of sp2 top cabinets. I have always been a fan of peavey speakers. Good sound for the money. The subs do a great job with bass and kick drum. That's the good bump. The bad bump is that the cabinets are cheaply made. The plastic corners are cheap and only glued on. Every few shows I usually lose a corner or two. Also, the tough black covering is not so tough. Anytime a road case glides across one of them, it usually tears the covering. I never had these issues with the sp2's. But, they are about ten plus years old. I hope peavey doesn't forget about the little details of their products!

Comments about Peavey SP 218 Dual 18" Subwoofer:

I bought a set of the Peavey SP 218 subs and wow is all i have to say. My own personal opinion is that i think the sound better than the EV eliminators. The sound is crisp, clear and amazing. On top of that, they have the field replaceble baskets which make it cheaper to replace blown subs( if it should happen) Two thumbs up in my opinion!

Comments about Peavey SP 218 Dual 18" Subwoofer:

I play in a Christian rock band and we have owned a pair of these subs for about six months. To say that the Peavey sp218 is the best sub for the money is an under statement! The bass and and the kick drum through these things sound amazing. Make sure you have plenty of power! Let me make it easy for you, get a Peavey CS 4080HZ power amp and a pair these subs if you want best bang for the buck. You won't regret it!

I just bought me a pair of these babies, and let me tell you they make things shake. I also love the presentation of the cabinets. I highly recommend these speakers for both live and Dj gigs!
