Provides clear sound and great frequency range, in a durable design.

The Peavey SP 6 speaker delivers gigantic sound with precision, accuracy, and long-term reliability. It handles up to 4,000 watts peak power. It is a quasi 4-way system that directs low frequencies to both 15" Black Widow woofers, while limiting mid-range frequencies to the top woofer, and 6.5" professional grade mid-range speaker. An RX 22 titanium driver, that is ferrofluid cooled for maximum tweeter performance, and longevity, handles the upper-mids, and high frequencies.

Innovative upgrades
Peavey's exclusive Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology actually reduces horn distortion and aims sound directly at the audience, not over their heads. Peavey's Sound Guard circuitry offers horn and tweeter protection, and works automatically in either full range, or bi-amp modes. The Apen hardwood plywood enclosure, with extensive internal bracing, improves bass response. The SP 6 is finished in the durable Hammertex material, has heavy-duty handles, and a powder-coat grille.

thumbs up on the sp 6 4-way peavey

Comments about Peavey SP 6 4-Way Dual 15" Speaker:

I Bought 2 Of These Bad Boys, Brought Them Home And Hooked Up To A 1200wtt Powered Mixer, And (Boom)!!!!! The Sound Was Amazing. Clear Sound, Great Bass Bottoms, Great Horns, These Will Hurt Your Hearing If You Don't Watch. They Take All My Mixer Will Give It With No Red Lights. Only Thing Is These Are Very Heavy, I Roll Them With A 2 Wheeler. A Must Have Product. These Are Great For Karaoke, Or Live Bands. Inside Or Outside Gigs. I Was Gonna Order A cs 4000 Power Amp, Still Might, But Wow I Don't Think I Need It. I Would Put These Up Against Any Speaker In The Catolog. You Got To Here Them.

Forget JBL SRX!

By ProAudioMan

Comments about Peavey SP 6 4-Way Dual 15" Speaker:

I just bought 4 of these and holy crap! I was using 4 Yamaha S215's and was thinking about getting 2 more for a total of 3 mains per side of the stage then I got a chance to demo these SP6's against JBL SRX 725's. Seriously, the SP6 has better clarity than the 725's, they get just as loud with a good amp and they are WAY cheaper. The Yamaha S215 is good but no where NEAR the output and low end of the SP6. The build is solid and I love the coating. Only reason these things don't get a perfect 5 all the way across is I wish the corners were heavier duty. I use 2 Crown XTI4000's to power 4 of these guys and 1200 watts per cab produces devastating volume but doesn't pull massive amounts of current. Seriously, if u are considering buying high-end cabs like JBL or EAW, try these out before u do. I used 4 of these cabs and 4 Yamaha SW218 cabs for a little over 1,100 people and it was PLENTY loud and punchy. Try them out!!

Comments about Peavey SP 6 4-Way Dual 15" Speaker:

The SP6 is a great speaker for cutting through the crowd. I use my set for DJ, karaoke & band live sound productions. Outstanding clarity and thunderous lows are produced from my SP6's using the Peavey CS 4000 amp. The combo works well and the amp has plenty of headroom in every situation I have come across from small bars of 60 to large venues of 1,000 +.

Comments about Peavey SP 6 4-Way Dual 15" Speaker:

Bought two of these BEASTS because it was time for our band to step up to the next level. Like most broke musicians, we started with the "poor-man's" PA (a couple of lower end Mains and subs). BUT, With these SP6's, we are now on a whole new level. These are SCARY loud and crystal clear. During the DEMO, I thought the windows were going to shatter. If you are tired of overdriving your Poor-Man's PA, get a pair of these and you can throw your subs away. Running these in full range is all you need. These are durable and you know they'll last because they are Peavey quality. My only complaint about these is they are HEAVY, but they do have the dolly wheels which makes up for it. I would recommend these to anyone that needs a BIG sound.
