Inexspensive, easy to use, and durable. I use this system for practice every week with my band, and I do sound for shows, talent shows, and even graduations with this system. It's very simple, but straight forward. All the stuff you need without complications.

The speakers are really clear, and can handle a full ensamble no problem. I run bass guitar, 2 electric guitars, and multiple vocals through it at once, and the speakers can take it.

My only complaint would be that the speakers can sometimes be awkward to carry, but I wouldn't change that. The wedge shape is really great for projecting sound, and they are even ready to be mounted if you have the equipment.

I get it. You got your first gig coming up this week with your new band. Or you have a wedding coming up that you're going to DJ for and you need something quick. What do you do? You go on Musicians Friend and look for something you can afford/get away with and still have some beer money left over. Well I'm here to tell you to STAY AWAY. I'm here to tell you to avert your gaze and find something else. You'd get better use out of using a traffic cone as a PA system than this garbage.

First off, the one of speakers got was damaged. I used to work at UPS (pre-loader) so I get how these things happen and it's unfortunate. MF sent a new one quick. A week later I plugged it all in and tried it out in my bedroom at a low volume. Everything sounded fine. "Ok, ready for a gig." Get to gig, plug everything in, plug mics in, mic check, INTENSE FEEDBACK.

Ok, gotta roll back volume a little I guess. WRONG, intense feedback. Ok, I guess I gotta go easy on the EQ, let's just cut them out. Mic check... INTENSE FEEDBACK.

So there I am, standing in front of a coffee shop, after nearly making an attempt to deafen the entire audience, after telling the other bands they can use our system... Wow.

Well since I can't use this for gigs, lets just try it out at band practice. I don't think I need to go into detail for that. It didn't work. DOnt' buy this. If you're rich, buy it and then burn it afterwards for fun. Use it for shooting practice.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:

I bought this unit used and use it for sound for my outdoor projector. This is a simple setup. Nothing fancy. I also recently used it as a replacement for my Bass Amp at church. It was lighter and louder than my amp. I own large DJ rigs and use this system for small house parties or to rent out to folks that need sound for their family reunions/birthday partys.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:

I purchased this for practice, parties, and vocals/acoustic guitar. As long as you arent expecting touring quality sound reinforcement and use it for its intended purpose, ie: small gigs, etc....it is a fantastic package. Don't try miking your whole band through it, vocals, acoustic guitar, karaoke....all great uses. For those who say it feeds back constantly, it will in a small space, as will any PA type cabinets. Turn it down. Great value, no problems in the few months I've owned it. Don't overdrive your inputs and you'll get clear, crisp audio every time.

The PERFECT system for coffee houses, small church music gatherings...surprising powerful amplifier. Speakers can be chained with 10" Kustom Speakers at Musician's friend. These extra speakers added amazing depth to the total sound output. Great deal at a great low price.

This is a very good buy. I bought this as a practice PA for my band. Being a practice PA, we didn't need anything to spectacular. In fact, at my local music shop, the mixer/amp alone cost around is well over the cost of this entire package. In all, a very good buy for a practice PA.
