Highly recommended.
My friend, a former professional musician, recommended this particular setup here. On his recommendation, we picked one of these up last spring to amplify our voices during outdoor lectures at our firearm training classes and it's been a huge success. Works wonderfully with wireless lapel mics.
The Youth Camp also used it on movie night to great success.
At our latest class, we used it on the firing line when I forgot to bring the bullhorn. It went over so well that we're never going back to a bullhorn again and I'm ordering a second set to be dedicated to the range. Students wearing ear protection can easily hear the range commands (and we're running 20+ students on the line at once.... it's a good 30 yards wide and *everyone* can hear clearly. We still had lots of "horsepower" left in the amplifier, too.
For the money, you can't beat this PA.
Like new after 100 hours of use. No glitches, problems or anything else.
One heckuva value.

Great price for a small system, low income preforming artists salute you Phonic.
We got this thing for our band cause we needed a small PA to get started, For the 200 clams it's worked out great, construction is good sound for price is great. The only thing that bugedme was its mixing capacity. Before our first show where we were going to use this it began cutting out at practice. I believe because its a less expensive system it wasnt really designed to handle all of it's inputs being in use at the same time (maybe if your using just mics in all four you might be ok). We were afraid of blowingthis thingup before the show so thankfully an old friend and once bandmate lent us his Squire 4 PA (a very similar system now discontinued) for the night and eventually sold it to us. havent hadan issue since so as long as your not using more than one guitar, or other instruments everything in my theory should be ok. THe Record line out also made it possibly to record a demo by rigging it to a hand held recorder, another plus with this set up. One other thing i find usefull about these kind of systems is for the guys who cant afford a huge marshall amp can plug a line from their smaller amps DI out into these to get an additial set of speakers to boost their decible count.
Not the best mixer for a full band, it could not handle 2 acoustic guitars + 2 vocal mics for too much time. I thing it made the system clip when both guitars were playing with both mics singing all at once. We actualy lended the mic to another band recently the one night at a show and didnt sound too bad suprisingly, it was the firsttime we used it so its possible it wont last long with frequent use.
Speaker cables have held up over its first year and still work like day one, they do seem cheap though and seem like they could get a short real easy, they remind me of thin computer speaker cables but with 1/4" jacks rather than 1/8" and we actually havent heard the sound of the speakers with higher quality cables yet but they still work and produce a useable signal after taking it out to a good number of shows (we take good care of them).
Geat value for the price, the system is is solid construction, sounds good, and works great for a small band or practice PA. Mutliple INSTRUMENTS should probably not be plugged into this thing to avoid overpowering and cliping the mixer but remeber its an 80W progamed system, not a $1,000 venue house system. If you need something better than your spare 15W amp that came with your first guitar for vocals, an electric drummer, ipod DJ, or your in a solo accoustic act this system is defintly for you.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:
Great little system very versatile. My daughter uses it to practice songs from home. I use it for speaking engagements. It has also been used to provide music for different small to medium entertainment functions. I am going to try it outside for our next tailgate this football season. A small family workhorse. I'm very pleased!

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:
Great little unit for the price. This is the second one I have bought. One, from a year ago, is used every week for Church services.
The second one, just recently, is for my small
band room and it works just fine in that application too.
The only drawbacks I see are minimal effectiveness of the digital delay and cheap wiring (cables). The tonality is not great but it isn't bad either. The microphone is surprizingly functional.
I don't see how you could beat it for the price.
I would have no problem using it at a small gig.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:
I bought this PA system out of desperation. I had a music engagement scheduled, and my powered mixer decided to act up. I only needed a powered mixer, but this package deal was just too good of a bargain. It arrived just in time, and I had to use it for the event, not knowing what to expect. It worked flawlessly. The speaker cabs are not the greatest, but they sound good enough for what they are. The speaker cable input jacks are housed in plastic, so time will tell how well they hold up. The mounting holes for the speaker stands have no splines inside, so they are a little wobbly when mounted. The speaker cables were not as pictured, but looked like antennae wire (they were not labeled as speaker cable). The microphone is surprisingly good, although a little muddy at higher volumes. It's a great mic to let someone else use (if you don't want them spitting into your favorite mic), or for a backup mic. This package is actually a great value. I bought the Gold Coverage as insurance, so I should be good for the next three years. I like the old-school simplicity of the amp, this style is rapidly becoming unavailable. The whole unit is very portable and easy to set up and use. It's like a stripped-down standard transmission pickup truck, it just does its job.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:
everything is good on this system except for the mic cables, those broke almost as soon as we cranked up the volume; luckily we fixed it so they work again, but if you dont know how to solder then get a new cable. it also has a bit of trouble with feedback if its too close to other amps or drums.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:
Great unit for a gathering between 30 and 75 people. Very portable.Lound enough.Like the different ways a person can use the speakers(mains, monitors). The mike has a on/off switch and it does the job. The speaker cables you get with it are a poor choice, they need to include true speaker cables (1/4 inch),that i think would make this a much better package and would have people tell it to other musicans.
