Inexspensive, easy to use, and durable. I use this system for practice every week with my band, and I do sound for shows, talent shows, and even graduations with this system. It's very simple, but straight forward. All the stuff you need without complications.

The speakers are really clear, and can handle a full ensamble no problem. I run bass guitar, 2 electric guitars, and multiple vocals through it at once, and the speakers can take it.

My only complaint would be that the speakers can sometimes be awkward to carry, but I wouldn't change that. The wedge shape is really great for projecting sound, and they are even ready to be mounted if you have the equipment.

Great price for a small system, low income preforming artists salute you Phonic.
We got this thing for our band cause we needed a small PA to get started, For the 200 clams it's worked out great, construction is good sound for price is great. The only thing that bugedme was its mixing capacity. Before our first show where we were going to use this it began cutting out at practice. I believe because its a less expensive system it wasnt really designed to handle all of it's inputs being in use at the same time (maybe if your using just mics in all four you might be ok). We were afraid of blowingthis thingup before the show so thankfully an old friend and once bandmate lent us his Squire 4 PA (a very similar system now discontinued) for the night and eventually sold it to us. havent hadan issue since so as long as your not using more than one guitar, or other instruments everything in my theory should be ok. THe Record line out also made it possibly to record a demo by rigging it to a hand held recorder, another plus with this set up. One other thing i find usefull about these kind of systems is for the guys who cant afford a huge marshall amp can plug a line from their smaller amps DI out into these to get an additial set of speakers to boost their decible count.
Not the best mixer for a full band, it could not handle 2 acoustic guitars + 2 vocal mics for too much time. I thing it made the system clip when both guitars were playing with both mics singing all at once. We actualy lended the mic to another band recently the one night at a show and didnt sound too bad suprisingly, it was the firsttime we used it so its possible it wont last long with frequent use.
Speaker cables have held up over its first year and still work like day one, they do seem cheap though and seem like they could get a short real easy, they remind me of thin computer speaker cables but with 1/4" jacks rather than 1/8" and we actually havent heard the sound of the speakers with higher quality cables yet but they still work and produce a useable signal after taking it out to a good number of shows (we take good care of them).
Geat value for the price, the system is is solid construction, sounds good, and works great for a small band or practice PA. Mutliple INSTRUMENTS should probably not be plugged into this thing to avoid overpowering and cliping the mixer but remeber its an 80W progamed system, not a $1,000 venue house system. If you need something better than your spare 15W amp that came with your first guitar for vocals, an electric drummer, ipod DJ, or your in a solo accoustic act this system is defintly for you.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:

I got to use this PA yesterday & today at a small church in their community room, performing Pop-Rock P&W with guitar-Bass-Keys-Edrums and 3 vocals. The room holds around 80 people, and we had 62 folks.

Edrums (new TD-1KV) was thru a Simmons 50watt amp, while the other instruments had their own amps (30-100watt range).

A lot of folks here are wondering about adding Monitors, EQ, Rev, etc to this. What I did was use a Y-Cable to plug into the Main Out-Amp In jack. This jack is NOT a true Insert point, but it did work to patch in a graphic EQ Pedal and 2 powered Kustom KPC4P Powered Monitor Speakers. IF you take the time to balance everything this workaround can work.

We also added a 12" home theater sub woofer to the setup and it helped a TON to get some low end into the setup.

Overall I was impressed with this rigged setup. Even with just the stock PA & speakers the sound was VERY usable with SM48 pics.

A good deal for sure!

I bought this system a few months ago and it works well, but I can't seem to figure out how to hook up a monitor. I tried the main out in the back and it does't seem to work. Has anyone used a monitor with this system?? Any ideas?

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:

Bang for the buck, hands down the best system for the money. I used one of these set ups for four years and the only issue was a bad power feed that blew the fuse.
I sold that one to a friend who uses it daily in his coffee shop, still going strong.
I recently needed a small PA and instead of renting one, I bought this one again.
Same quality, great sound, more head room than you might think.
          Good stuff!

Inexpensive way to get up and going. This unit equals the quality sound of my much more sysem for 1/3 the cost. I was quite surprised. Only set back is 4 inputs vs. 9 on my other system..but those play well.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 410/S710 PA Package:

I ordered one of these for a buddy I jam and record with regularly. I have the Phonic Powerpod 820 (awesome value!!!) with the 12 inch speakers and he has always been very impressed by how much can be done with it for such a small price. He is a singer/songwriter who plays guitar.
Now I already knew this mixer did not have stereo mixer channels and no pan knobs but I took it for granted that since it has left and right inputs on the aux input, that would be in stereo, nope. No stereo functionality whatsoever, the left and right aux input channels are summed. Without stereo sound I could not even recommend using it to play MP3s between sets. What a waste!

Having no mid control on the EQ has been a bigger problem that we anticipated as well as he needs a pretty serious mid hump on his voice. And there are no inserts at all for external effect or EQ.

If you are a singer looking to amplify your voice for the cheapest possible price, this unit is not bad, BUT I would definitely recommend saving up and buying one of the PA packages that comes with a bigger mixer with more functionality.

In the spirit of total disclosure, my friend has been very happy with it himself and I guess that is what is most important.
