As long as your not mislead by the "professional" part of the name (they do colour sound a bit, so if recording is you game skip these cans) and look at price-value they're a good buy. Comfortable to wear and pleasant sounding, I use them for practice as they are relatively inexpensive and reliable.
I am using my second set of RH-50?s now, and though I myself use a set of Sony (studio standard) headphones nowadays, I have previously used the RH-50 for building up most of my productions. Though the sound does tend to be a bit ?nervous? when listening for a long time, these do stand out quite good compared to other (more professional) headphones (I also own 2 AKG headphones). Today I use the RH-50 mainly for friends, who occasionally come and join my ?productive and creative? moments. However, if I would stumble over the (far too expensive) Sony headphones (like I did with my previous RH-50), I wouldn?t be bothered to start using the RH-50 again. At this price, the overall performance is rewarding in the true sence of the word.
The headphones are of very good quality with the price. the only complaint I have is that the padding is comparatively hard to that used on other headphones, so prolonged use is uncomfortable . The bass is beautiful and I can now hear details of songs which were not audible with my speakers.
I don't recommend these to any 1 lookin for high quality sound, They're average, good for a walkman but for studio purposes these are a no go.
These headphones may not be the most expensive on the market, but judging from their sound quality, comfort, and durablity I would rank them in the top of their class.
Like stated before. There realy good for walkman/home use. Really comfortable to ware. dont hurt your ears like other headsets do. Light Weight. Don't cancel enough noise for recording and not high enough quality for studio use. But excellent for home use.
Use them with guitar amp and have had excellent results. Good sound, very comfortable, don't crap out on bassy power chords.
These headphones have a very accurate response. They are comfortable to wear and don't cause listening fatigue. The value is probably one of the best of other products in the price range. These easily compare to much more expensive headphones. I'm currently using them for live headphone monitoring with the Furman Headphone Distribution System.
