Buy them, use them. When they break, go out and buy another pair and repeat!
Not even certain what sort of features to look for. Has two drivers and framing to hold everything on your head. Comfortable enough with nothing you don't need.
I bought this to replace a cheap pair of AKG headphones that got broke. I have learned that headphones break regardless of how much you pay for them. I really do not want to have a heart attack when I sit on a $500+ headset!
Sound quality is really good for the price. I use them for recording and have been told that you do not want to have a headset that is "Too Good" anyway as it clouds your overall judgment of the mix. If you can make everything sound really good with an average set of headphones, it will sound really good playing back with your top-tier audio equipment!
For what you pay, it is a great pair of headphones!

These have pretty good isolation and are fairly accurate. I returned them, however, because they seem to break up at levels a lot lower than I would expect from any pair of phones. I returned them for a pair of Sony MDR-V150s which admittedly are not as accurate (little too much low-end) and seem to be more cheaply made, but also seem to have better power handling (I can rock out pretty loudly without any break-up on the Sonys) and they are a tad cheaper. I was just looking for some cheap cans to listen to music with and play guitar thru. If you need to use phones professionally, than I would recommend looking at some more expensive ones anyway. (Sony MDR-7505s pretty much set the standard for pro phones.)

Comments about Sennheiser HD 201 Pro Closed Back Headphones:
For the price the sound is great. Sennheiser is your best bet when it comes to headphones. The highs are high and the low end (although subtle) comes in smooth and rich. It does a fair amount of noise canceling and is very comfy with the cushion on the head band. The volume output is nice but not impressive. You may experience headphone fatigue quickly with extended use and they can also feel cumbersome at times. The cord length is nice but the cords themselves are very stringy and very cheaply made so these headphones are ideal for stationary use only. You don't want to add any tension to the cords because I don't think they will last long. The phones are very sturdy on the other hand and I don't see any problems there. The outer cups are very unsightly though. Not something you want to be seen wearing but I personally would not wear huge cup headphones while traveling or in public. I think that's what earbuds are for. Well these headphones are right for the price and are best for home/studio work.

Comments about Sennheiser HD 201 Pro Closed Back Headphones:
Very light and comfortable. Long cable. Good isolation. Sound quality is excellent until they're pushed too hard. Low end sometimes breaks up at higher volumes. I bought them on sale 2yrs ago for a bit less, but even at the reg price there really isnt a better deal for a decent set of recording or "general listening" phones.

Comments about Sennheiser HD 201 Pro Closed Back Headphones:
Incredible sound for a great value. Sennheiser is a trusted name in musical equipment and these headphones are no exception. I don't need to be hip and have beats by Dr. Dre headphones, and I honestly don't think those headphones would be any better than these. Full bass, rich mids, and clear highs. Can't beat it.

Comments about Sennheiser HD 201 Pro Closed Back Headphones:
I purchased these headphones to replace an even cheaper pair that had come free with my electronic drum kit. I predominantly use headphones when playing the drums. Out of the box, I was pleased with the look and construction of these headphones. However, when I plugged them in, I was shocked that for a pair that is advertised as "powerful sound experience", I found them to be anything but.
While the quality of the sound seems fine, the volume on these headphones is so much lower than I would like. Now, as a drummer, I will say up front that I like loud music . . . so if that's not a concern of yours, these headphones should be fine.
However, my prior (cheaper) pair delivered a much louder, powerful sound than these. I kept trying to find some way to adjust the volume and make these things louder . . . but there is no volume adjustment.
Overall, not bad . . . but if you're looking for some punch with a set of headphones, these are not the ones you are looking for!

Comments about Sennheiser HD 201 Pro Closed Back Headphones:
I have found these to be comfortable, affordable headphones. I use them with my home stereo, various walkmans (CD and cassette), my PC and with my Les Pauls through my guitar amp. They sound rich, realistic and accurate in all these mediums. Quite honestly, I'm very impressed as I've owned many headsets in my 57 years. These certainly sound the best to me at any price.

I bought these so that i can practice playing my Yamaha dd65 drum kit quietly in my home. These headphones produce a great sound...they are precise and offer a nice crisp treble and a deep smooth bass. I love them and for the price....u just can't beat this products quality and functionality.

Comments about Sennheiser HD 201 Pro Closed Back Headphones:
I needed new headphones for recording and these came at a great price and offer solid sound performance. The hard thing about headphones is that you never know how they fit until you've worn them. When recording, I can have them on for a long time so comfort is critical. I found these to be great for when I'm using them for shorter periods of time. For longer sessions, I seem to switch to another set I have. The sound is good and it might just be my ears, but after a longer time, they became a distraction.
PS - Musician's Friend makes you complete all fields on this survey before it can post so please note that while I answered Traveling as the primary use, the real primary use is recording and that was not an option.
