I use these mainly on stage in my church band. They are great when I am playing keyboard or singing! Exceptional quality, great sound, comfortable, exactly what I wanted. Others in band have the same brand. Highly recommended.

Comments about Shure SE315 Sound Isolating Earphones:
Because I work in a large office with a lot of noise, I wear earbuds all day--sometimes without sound just to cancel out the noise. These are so uncomfortable that I can not even wear them an hour. They actually hurt my ears where they press up against the cartilage. Because of the swivel cable attachment movement, they have to be constantly adjusted. And you can't just put them quickly into your ears: you have to spend a minute just adjusting the wire that loops over and behind your ear (which moves constantly--a pain with glasses), and the ear bud itself (which fits upside down and pushes against that cartilage of your ear). Popping them in & out to have a conversation is impossible. I bought them last year and only used them a couple of times before reverting back to the Bose earbuds--not as great a sound, but comfortable and stable. I tried running with these and the movement from the swivel cable is a pain. I don't want to have to think about the earbuds constantly while they are in, but these are a continuous annoyance.

- Working out

I'm in charge of sound for a church that just switched to in-ear monitors (MyMix system - it rocks!) and we needed some good quality ear buds, but no one local had any Shure products to demo for us. So we bought a set of SE215, SE315, and SE425 earbuds from MusiciansFriend to try out.
We found that the cheapest of the bunch - the Shure SE215's - had the best quality sound and widest frequency response, and at the price they're a great bang for the buck.
The SE325's in theory should have sounded better and crisper than the cheaper SE215's, but they didn't. They sounded more midrangey, lacked bass response, and lacked high end clarity. The body is also a bit longer than the body on the 215's, so they didn't fit some people's ears.
Skip the SE315's or SE425's, and stick with the SE215's. You won't regret it. There's simply no quality to be gained by buying the more expensive models.
Comments about Shure SE315 Sound Isolating Earphones:
I am very disappointed. These were supposed to replace an older pair of Shure earphones that I liked real well. I am hoping that I can return these.
The new Shure SE series earphone design is very restricting in terms of fit. It has a large housing and a fixed angular nozzle so it will only fit if your ear has that exact shape. Mine doesn't so it won't stay in my ear no matter which of the sleeves I tried.
I was pretty disappointed with the sound quality. They don't sound any better than the pair of earphones I got with my cheap mp3 player. In fact, the earphones that came with my Ipod have way superior sound quality.
Way overpriced. Considering the sound quality and the fact that they keep falling out the true value is actually closer to zero.
Comments about Shure SE315 Sound Isolating Earphones:
For gigs, when it necessary to avoid floor monitors these might be a decent choice. But if you are wanting high quality listening pleasure or for studio use, a much cheaper set of over the ear headphones will be far superior. When paying this much for earphones, one would expect a greatly improved hearing experience over more moderately priced earphones. Instead, expect the bass response to be weak at best. Also these DO NOT isolate sound! Plenty of interchangeable ear sleeves are provided to find the so called "perfect" fit which is claimed to be the key to the excellent sound. But when you actually try to remove a sleeve to install another it is a total hassle in which you have to twist and pull so hard you greatly fear breaking your investment.
Very disappointing for the money.

I got these amazing things yesterday and they are simply the most OUTSTANDING headphones I have ever owned! I love them, DEFINITELY worth them money!
Comments about Shure SE315 Sound Isolating Earphones:
Ok, so Shure just sent me a pair of these new models because the older ones (SCL3) I owned, stopped working on me. I guess they couldn't fix them, so they sent me these, another reason to by a Shure product. Dependable product, and dependable company if you ever have to deal with them. As for the SE315's, how can you beat them? Detachable cords with in-ears for under $200! The sound quality for these are top of the line, and definition is wonderful. If something is panned a few notches, you can really tell. For the price, I'd jump all over these, you won't regret it.
