This mic is as accurate as your ears can handle

Comments about Shure SM87A Condenser Microphone:

It was down to the Beta 58 and the sm87a. Although a little more spendy, the sm87a gave an accuracy far superior to even the finest dynamic. It's our main double-duty mic performing just as well on stage as in the studio.
