        Frequency response specs seem odd

        By Cat

        from Hohenwald Tennessee

        Comments about Sony MDR-7502 Headphones:

The frequency response specs indicate a bottom end at 60 Hz. Bass strings are 31, 41, 55, 73, and 98 Hz. Cello C string is 65 Hz. This is an issue for me.

          Good for the money

          By thenash

          from Berea, KY

          Comments about Sony MDR-7502 Headphones:

I've had a couple of pairs of these Sony headphones. I got one with my first 4-track cassette player years ago and they lasted forever. I've used them as phones for CD players and have probably heard more music through them than any other single device. I ended up getting a new pair, as my old pair had been beaten up pretty good and finally bit it a couple of years ago. They are fairly accurate and don't seem to blow up the bass like some phones. It might not be totally transparent, but I find them to be more comfortable and less harsh than some closed phones I have used.I've had a more expensive and by the numbers more precise set of Sennheisers that I don't use as much recording. My ears get tired using them a whole lot faster. The build quality is good and they will take a bit more of a pounding than some other phones, as they actually have a bit of metal in the frame. They are good for the money.

          Comments about Sony MDR-7502 Headphones:

I got these to listen to at work, wanting some quality sound. I am very impressed! They put out great quality sound and you can turn them up to deafening levels without anyone around you noticing, a great perk for zoning out at the office!!

          Great comfort. Amazing sound.

          By shumwag

          Comments about Sony MDR-7502 Headphones:

I got these as a free gift with my D888, and I was blown away. At first I thought the sound was a little harsh, but I had just become used to a pair that was a lot more dull. Now when I switch between the two, I realize how much crispness and clarity these actually have, and how much detail can be heard. Maybe not the best headphones on the market, but definitely as good as any I've ever heard.
