The unit is decent for just straightforward recording and does most things you should expect an audio interface to do, except it has one major shortcoming in my opinion. They did not write a specific ASIO driver for the hardware so it is not set up properly. Most interfaces you would expect to be able to simultaneously play music from a media player and play music from your DAW ei for jamming over a song or switching between comparison tracks, but I have not found a way to do this yet so it is clumsy to switch back and forth between the drivers when playing an mp3 and playing from your DAW. It's very frustrating.

The unit is decent for just straightforward recording and does most things you should expect an audio interface to do, except it has one major shortcoming in my opinion. I have better stuff for recording my own music with my PC. All I use this for is an audio interface to play iTunes from my Macbook Pro laptop to my stereo amp and speakers - pull out the USB cord from laptop and go, return and stick it in the USB port and play. Ahhh, simplicity.

Tascam usually makes very good products and this is one that works well and easy to use. The Audacity software is an added plus ! I'll probably use this to record some guitar parts and maybe vocals via the USB port.

Awesome interface. I get ZERO latency in Amplitube and Guitar Rig with this thing. The only thing this won't do is make me coffee in the morning. only reason I gave it a 9 rather then a 10 is because of the cheap feeling of the knobs.
Has everything I need. Supports guitar/bass Mic, tape decks, Mixer and turn tables. It does a lot of the things the more expensive interfaces do for a fraction of the cost.
Nice sturdy casing. only gribe I have are the knobs. They feel a little wobbly to me.
For what you get this thing is worth far more then what you pay.

I wanted to use it with Garageband - it doesn't say in the instructions that you need to go into the Garageband setting to select it as an input and then select the Monitor On option but once I'd sussed that, it worked like a dream
Had everything I required and delivered what it said it would
Good quality product with rubber feet to stop it going walking
Good value for money - would be even more incredible if it was free

For the money, I think this unit would be hard to beat. Its a nice, inexpensive way to get professional sounding audio on your computer.
THis unit is easy to install and sounds great. I use it for recording voice overs and traffic reports for radio and television. Its a very simple and easy to use device that sounds great, MUCH better than the sound card that came with the PC, and it works with Cool Edit or Audacity, which is great, and you can monitor right out of the unit with zero latency through the headphone jack, or run the line out into a mixer.
Setup is easy and straight forward, just plug and play. Any adjustments that need to be made with your OS are detailed in the operator's maual.

I'm using this to transfer LP's and cassettes to digital formats and it is excellent for that. I hooked up the RCA inputs to the headphones jack on my stereo. Then you hook up the unit to a spare usb port on your pc. Very easy setup and great sound quality. The unit comes with audacity which is a great little program i however use a program called "Polderbits". It is a keeper for sure!!

Speedy delivery, perfect condition, easy to learn to use and easy to function. Fantastic if music is a hobby and even if you intend to make music more than a hobby through recording yourself. Really great iteam. I'm really pleased with my purchase!
Learning how to use it was simple and all the functions work exactly as described.
For the price the quality of the recording it provides is the closest your going to get to professional.
At this price its absolutely amazing that you can get this good a recording through this item.
