We just purchased to upgrade from a lower level model of the same manufacturer. The batteries for the remote were dead, and looked as if they had been immersed in water. Setup was very fast and easy. As soon as we initiated the DVD drive, we started hearing background static. The microphone cords did not seat soundly. The microphone volume as almost non-existent. The master volume control, which affects the music works well, but there is hardly any sound at all coming from the microphones. The microphone volume is worse than the old machine. Either something is terribly wrong with this machine, or it is a very, very poor value. I am trying to get in contact with the manufacturer, but based on their web site, it does not look like much support is available.
