Comments about Venue Fat Beam Laser Pack:
We run a pub where we do live music at least 2-3 times a week. At first these lasers where great. Granted you don't have a lot of control over the patterns, the presets were pretty neat and they give you speed options which helps. They added a nice effect in our venue, and not for too much money. However, after about 6 mths we noticed one laser began fading. The problem got progressively worse, and now one laser works fine and the other becomes invisible after only being on for 5-10 mins. After a little research I've found this to be a reoccurring problem with this product. Be weary.

I just got these lasers after a experiencing a psychonautical TSO show... Their lasers inspired me to get some of my own for small shows. They seem to be built good and heavy. They are much smaller than they look in the pics though. Like any laser, they are useless without fog, but with fog, the patterns that they do are pretty cool. I do have to complain about the speed of the beam's movement. You can't get a good slow single beam scan out of them. Even set to as slow as possible, they are still fast and have a wobbly vibrating sort of beam. Everything is either pattern, a shape or a "liquid sky" type of effect. The motors that move the mirrors make a jerking type of motion instead of a smooth motion when they tilt verticly and pan horizontally. MY OVERALL BIGGEST COMPLAINT... one of them is significantly brighter than the other and the patterns move faster with it, so this kinda throws of any symetry I wanted to achieve. The brightness of the one draws your eyes away from the other like a magnet. The controller flat out sucks.but you can use any fader style DMX controller and you'll have much better control over your laser show. Especially if it has programable scenes. Imma have to send them back and hopefully i'll get ones that are of equal brightness. I am happy with them other than than all that stuff. Worth the money if they are set up right.

Hey, I was a light engineer for the Trans-siberian Orchestra in 2007. We used 2 sets of lasers just like these for the first half of the tour. They do the job well. They dont do the job like the bigger ones do that the we also use, but they can sure put on a show. When you mix these with fog, strobes, leds, and loud guitars, you have one hell of a show. Overall, I suggest trying these babies out and see what you think ;]
