I just bought these headphones because I was worried about my hearing. I must say these are one of the best buys in the musicians world. I will describe them perfectly, picture the muffling headphones you get at a hardware store with speakers in them. Yes, they muffle the sound that much. As a test I played my drums as hard as they can with the volume about a half of the way up on my stereo. The volume still didn't sound as loud as the drum recording on the CD.

Overall, they do not serve the purpose that they have been pushed to. I am a drummer and my ears actually hurt from the out side ambience that the head phones seemed to amplify like a barrel. They are supposed to keep the noise out right? I am well educated on this subject, and these are not for musicians.
Owned these for about 7 yrs. Still work and in new condition.
The sound volume is very low and not good quality.
I value them so much, I have them in the same place I put them two or three weeks after I bought them. In a box. Lesson learned.

They work. Other than that they are a bit painful. Once they wear in the metal sliders dig into the side of my head. The value is correct. a little more attention to actual usage needs to be taken.

These work well for what I bought them for, trackiing drums and percussion. They cancel out volume so you can listen at a comfortable volume level, and not have any bleed throgh into the overheads. The sound quality is pretty average, but for thier purpose they work great.

Cancels sound out almost completely without music playing and with music, you can't hear the drums at all. Its a great pair of headphones if you want to keep your hearing but don't want to hit the drums lighter. Buy it. The sound is top quality IMO

I received these headphones on my 17th birthday and at 18 i still use them to this day! they're amazing headphones that give you pretty good bass. When you try them on for the time you notice that the sound is reduced a ton which is perfect to block out the noise in life (like noisy family members) and listen to what you want to. These are perfect to use if your a musician wanting to practice alone. Also these are great for drummers who play music while playing drums or just to keep your ears and hearing safe while playing. The headphones may not look like the best in style but they sure as hell make up for it with their sound! Great headphones for a reasonable price! :D

when I had the sales man on the phone he confirmed that they came with a 12.5 ft cord which it says it does online, which was the lenth I needed to play my kit and have the cord lenth to make it to the sourse. when it arrived it was 6.5 half the lenth. so I called them and asked whats the deal and what they can do . I got nuttin, so I had to buy a extention and a coupler to make it all work.I like the set but if you need the cord it says it has , you will need more. just sayin.....

While a good idea to keep out outside noise they can irratate the ears on long term wear. You will need to take them off your ears for a while due to compact feel around the ears. In general the sound is not crisp and clean, sound is a little muffled, especially higher pitches.

These are great isolation headphones. They are sturdy yet comfortable and you won't hear anything else except your music. A great value for the price. You won't be dissapointed.
Adjustable connector. Go from you i-pod to your amp.
Very sturdy yet soft and comfortable. They block out practically al sound.
They are worth the price if not even more.

They seem attractive at this price range, but I would probably look for a better built solution.
They fit pretty well, and did a decent job of isolating.
Not built very well. My pair lasted barely 2 weeks before one they developed an issue with one of the drivers not working. They were used about 5 or 6 times in my studio. Now they are worthless.

These are great, do a really nice job of blocking out noise, still can hear the drums and they sound pretty decent! also pretty good stereo quality. I purchased these along with a db90 metronome and it really helped me get the most out of practice. great for all levels of drummers at a resonable price!
