Vintage EQ emulation by Waves.
The Pultec EQP-1A has long been renowned for its unique ability to boost and cut the same frequencies simultaneously, thereby creating a resonant shelf. The PuigTec EQP-1A is a remarkable replication of Jack Joseph Puig' original hand-crafted unit, heard on dozens of popular recordings.
Many different elements contribute to the unique sonic characteristics of analog gear such as the Pultec EQP-1A. Waves has painstakingly modeled and incorporated these elements into the PuigTec EQP-1A in order to capture and replicate the sound and performance of the original equipment.
