These ear buds are amazing. Got them for Christmas. As well, my friend fot the Beats Tour. The Beats could only compete with their bass. but other than that nothing compared( highs mids).

Was hopeful these were good quality for a live musician. On the 2nd use - the left ear blew. On the 3rd use - the right ear blew. My hunt continues.

Comments about Yamaha EPH-100 In-Ear Professional Headphones:
I am a member of a live band and have been performing weekly for several years. I've used Shure and IE-30 in-ear monitors. The Shure monitors actually broke from the constant use, and the IE-30's ear wrap-around eventually snapped the wire. I use an Aviom system for self-mixing of the other musicans and singers.
I purchased these because of the price and because the Yamaha name is trusted in the industry.
The ear buds were surprisingly small and it concerned me. The wires are very light-weight and thin, which also concerned. I learned by using them this weekend that you don't need big bulky ear buds or cables to get good sound. I was very pleased. They fit nicely into my small ear canals, and they are noise canceling.
The only small "con" I have with them is that I did have to turn the Aviom volume up much higher than I have had to with the other monitors I've used, but once turned up it was fine. The sound quality was clean and crisp. Yamaha lived up to it's name on these.
Without self-mixing capabilities these may not be the monitors for you. If you use an Aviom system, or something like it, these should work well for you.
I'll come back and update this in a few months after I've had a chance to use them more.
Comments about Yamaha EPH-100 In-Ear Professional Headphones:
One of my favorite IEM's I own and is up there with my UE Triple Fi 10 and Vsonic GR07, I would recomend these to anyone looking for a detailed, fun, dunamic and clean bass IEM.
These IEM's are fantastic and have a wonderful sound. The bass is great especially when you see its a 6mm micro driver, but it goes deep with good punch and texture. The mids are slightly forward which makes vocals sound so good and there really smooth as well. The highs are crisp and detailed but not overly bright so long listening sessions don't get fatiguing. Soundstage is good with nice width and depth but where they really shine is in instrument seperation and the 3D effect which has a great side to side pan and makes tracks in electronic music song amazing. All in all this is a really good IEM under $200 that can compete with ones that cost twice as much.
Top notch quality with the IEM shell and the cord is nice to in that it doesn't tangle and is fairly sturdy.
One of the best bang for buck IEM's around and people who like an IEM with good detail, that fun and musical with very clean bass and a above avg soundstage will really enjoy the Yamaha EPH-100.
