Comments about Yamaha MG206C Mixer:
I bought this mixer to upgrade from my old Behringer Europower PMP 3000, and i am satisfied with the production quality i am getting out of it.
My only few gripes is that; it doesn't have on-board effects, its not universal voltage/frequency, and it's outer shell feels like cheap plastic.
but as far as the sound i am getting coupled with its built in compressors, i am very pleased with my purchase so far...
now if it was only powered for the same price...

Comments about Yamaha MG206C Mixer:
Love this board, bought one for our Rodeo ministry (dust, dirt, bouncing around in a trailer all over) and now one for our church! Great board!
Comments about Yamaha MG206C Mixer:
There really is no compewtition for this mixer when you consider features, sound and value.
Really, if this board had built-in effects, it would be a world beater. It's a shame that you need to go to a 20 input desk to get 16 mic pres, because we have the 16 channel and we're short one mic input (although we do "fudge" that to get by)
Everything works all the time the way it should
For the price...are you kidding me? There is NO better value in a live desk and the entire MG series seems designed to prove that you CAN have sound and features without feeling like you wish you had spent more.
Comments about Yamaha MG206C Mixer:
Well, I'm not sure that Yamaha makes the best sounding mixers, you can't beat this for the price as a great live PA mixer in a 19" rack case. There's so many channels and inputs, the channel strips don't line-up...so that can be confusing. But you can't beat the overall value this unit provides. I can run 6-8 mics on the drum kit and group that in stereo, mix the guitar/bass instruments into another stereo sub-group, and dial those levels into the vocals on the main mix. It's got everything you need for a fully-mixed stage sound, without having to carry around a desktop board. NICE. For home studio or recording, not sure this would be my first choice, but for live gigs...this board is great.
Comments about Yamaha MG206C Mixer:
As my needs have been getting bigger, I just keep getting new Yamaha mixers, but the old ones are still going strong.Old EMX88s powered box still used for small stuff, MG16/6FX running the rehearsal studio PA, and for the new band, this MG201C, and what a wonderful mixer it is. Can?t beat the value of the MG series imho.
Comments about Yamaha MG206C Mixer:
My band blew up our other mixer at the very beginning of our set about a month ago (it was a Behringer - I don't even want to talk about it). Hurting for a mixer, we decided to go all out and get something a little more professional. I had been looking at the MG's for a couple of months and the time came to buy it.BY FAR the best compact board I have ever used. It's easy to use. Pre's sound amazing. We can hook the iPod up to check everything. It has 4 Aux sends that we use for four separate monitor sends. And we can mic everything on stage and still have channels left over.Best bang for your buck. If mine got stolen, I'd buy another.
Comments about Yamaha MG206C Mixer:
We just bought this mixer and i love it. It has all the features needed for a console this size and is a lot cheaper than other brands with the same number of channels. There are lots of outputs - 4 aux sends for effects or monitor mix, 4 buses and a main stereo bus and separate monitor/headphones out. Easy to operate for beginners. Very clean sound, and quiet. The built in channel compressors are very useful if you cant afford a separate compressor for each channel. The only complain i have is that the controls are a little bit crowded (but understandable because it is designed to be rack mountable). For this price range, it cannot get any better than this!
