This is a great "PA"!

By jazzdogx5

from Brainerd, MN

Comments about Yamaha MSR100 8" Powered Speaker:

Works Perfect! Good amount of power! Little weight!...(i'm tired of carrying a truckload of stuff!),
Not real expensive.....blows away behringer!
I just got this little Yamaha, and it is absolutely great! Perfect for a small venue (I play in smaller restaurants, churches, & nursing homes). Sounds great, easy to carry, not expensive! I did buy the speaker stand mount (about $20) which you'll need to put it on a stand,,,,and I also use my TC Helicon Create to add some reverb (this little Yamaha is completely dry,,,,so you may want to add something to it like reverb), but I can't think of a better unit to use for this application.
Great Quality! Very Solid!
Super deal!

Near Perfection

By shimmer-N-Qt-

Comments about Yamaha MSR100 8" Powered Speaker:

Yes I?m in a dreaded wedding band. We purchased these to replace passive monitors powered by QSC 1400s.With these we saved weigh, set up time and hassle. The performance has been OUTSTANDING. My vocalist who where always wanting more volume are now happy, and without pushing the feedback threshold I?m happy too as bassist & soundman. I only wish they had a balanced XKS thru then they would be a 5.0 across the board for us.

Acappella Delight

By Chief-55UNS

Comments about Yamaha MSR100 8" Powered Speaker:

We were extremely pleased with the sound from these small speaker monitors. There are four members in our Acappella Gospel Quartet that will swear by the response each we each recieve on these Yamaha speakers that compliment our Yamaha 500 system. We use the system for small church venues of 300 to 600 hundred and the monitors are provide exceptional sound over the crowd response. You can go wrong with this monitor.

Performing musician/sound engineer

By Richard-wcTWD

from SF Bay Area

Comments about Yamaha MSR100 8" Powered Speaker:

I bought one for a light live performance monitor. I have found, however, that they are strong enough for sound reinforcement in small venues. Excellent fidelity and quality!

Big sound for small size

By www.theklocks.com

from San Antonio, Texas

Comments about Yamaha MSR100 8" Powered Speaker:

We bought a couple of these for stage fill monitors. We use all Roland virtual instruments, like VDRUMS, VG8, VG88, VBASS, and a host of keys and modules, with in-ear monitors. Great for the sound man, but bad for anyone wanting to sit in and sing a song. The MSR100's handle the full mix in stereo, and fill the stage with sound without affecting the house mix. We have to roll off a little of the low end to keep them from flapping, but there's two-band EQ right on the cabinet that works great.

Powerful Little Box

Comments about Yamaha MSR100 8" Powered Speaker:

Lots of sound from a little box, with a low end that you don't expect from an 8" speaker. I'm using it as a rehearsal speaker with my Korg Triton LE keyboard. Most keyboard low ends tend to distort, but this is not the case with this monitor. Rich, warm sound and lots of volume. Very well build.
