I have used all sorts of amps over the years (QSC PL, PLX, PL2 and RMX; Lab.Gruppen; Crown; Crest...etc) and the P700S is the greatest deal for the money. Saves on back pain and strain, only 25 lbs or so. I have run just about everything off it, including subs, but I love using it to power the Yamaha C115V speakers because of the built-in YSP processor (does make a difference, though slight). Clarity is not an issue with this amp. We've used it at indoor and outdoor events and I can't recall a single time the cooling fan has kicked on. No tiny dip-switches for configuration like QSC and Behringer, so no confusion for how the amp is run. Well worth the money!

I bought this amp and used it once (it was a small DJing gig), and both modules blew up along with the power supply. Before it blew it hadn't been clipping or anything, the Yamaha service guy that I took it to said that he'd never seen an amp blown that bad. So, he had to send it in to Yamaha, it's finally on its way back after 5 weeks. He did say that it was likely a factory defect. But as far as features go, it's got everything you need. The only thing I wish it had is parallel outputs to chain multiple amps together like the mackies do. This is the highest output that you will get from a brand name amp at this price. Its a pretty good deal if it doesn't blow up.

Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
I use this amp to power Yamaha S118 Subs and it's incredible the amount of power you can push with this thing. Best deal for the money. To the user who wanted to daisy chain them yes you can. The inputs are parallel. Go intot he XLR input come out the 1/4" input to the next amp it works I do it all the time.
Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
I've owned the amp over a year and I know I'm only using a fraction of the power, and I'm very happy with it.Here are the minor drawbacks I've discovered. You can't remove the handles, and if your rack has a shallow faceplate, you won't be able to put the front cover on. The last thing I wanted to do was look for yet another rack... ;->Tech support told me that you can't daisy chain inputs, so if I accept that, whatever input goes to the amp stops there. However, I did read a review where a fellow said that he sent an input to the XLR input, and came out of the 1/4" to the next amp. I haven't tested that yet.Still, this seems to be a great amp!

I run a pair of S115V's through this with the YS processing on, and it SCREAMS. You can even turn it all the way up. The cabs will handle it, and the cooling fan won't even turn on. If you're running subs, the amp has a sweepable, DEFEATABLE crossover (unlike the QSC's). I LIKE TO GET THE low BASS!! You won't be disappointed!
Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
It?s even hard to express my fillings, after I tried this amp - P7000S.It?s absolutely awesome. I have used many amps: QSC, Crown, Crest. Even Lab. Gruppen which is considered one of the best and very expensive one is far away from Yamaha. Sound is so crystal and dense that you can?t believe that this amp is just around 750 w per channel. Of course many musicians has their one taste and vision , but I suggest everyone to try it. I am using Crest CA12 which is very good especially for subs, but they have only one minor disadvantage ? they are too heavy. Looks like P7000S will make my life easier from this point. It?s a shame, that US companies can?t deliver similar product for reasonable money.
Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
Sounds cleaner than my RMX or Mackie's, Half the weight, twice as powerful, Easy on the wall power!!!, Best price in its class, Built like a tank. speakon-1/4" and banana, Built in crossover, I can buy 2 P7000s for one Crown Xti4000. I have yet to have the fan come on or for it to even clip(proper gain staging).
Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
What an amp! Over the years I have used Crown, QSC, Peavey, Behringer & Carvin. These dudes are by far the best of the bunch. They are super lightweight and pack plenty of power. I use mine to power a pair of Yamaha Club Series S115V's along with the SW118V subs. I have used them with bands and tracks, indoors and outdoors with no problems and tons of head room. They are very clean as well, no noise! I do use the onboard filters (hi & lo pass) and have found them to work well also. Overall I would say that this is the best amp I have ever owned.
Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
I own 2-7000's. 1 for 15" club series mains and 1 for 18" club series subs, also 1-2500 for 15" club series monitors. The biggest test for my system is at Mardi Gras. Not only is it outdoors but there is usually a few hundred people on each side of the float screaming for beads. When you see me coming - save your breath - you wont be heard. When I add a 2x18" cab, this system knocks down walls and small children.
Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
I bought two of the 700 models. I run three way mono crossing over the low end at 150 using JBL SRX cabinets which is what I am using the YAMAHA'S for. Let me tell ya ! OUTASITE!!!we play loud and clean so we put these amps to the test!IF you run your system properly these amps are the best deal on market!
Comments about Yamaha P7000S Dual-Channel Power Amp:
I purchased these amps to match my Club V sound rig. I bought a 5000 to power 2 S112V's and a 7000 to power 4 S118V's They absolutely rock down the house. Great value awesome power, I rocked them for over 4 hours and the fans never kicked on this is running at full potential too. Very Lightweight I will buy more
