Unlike many chorus effect units that have limited high frequency response, the Arion SCH-Z features a special tone control that lets you boost the highs when needed. It uses BBD technology to get a superior low-noise chorus effect. The following power adapters work with the Arion SCH-Z: Boss PSA-120 or Line 6 Tone DC-1.

I've played this pedal for seven years now, and I've only run into one problem: the cover for the battery comes off. Just duct tape it shut. The sound is phenomenal for the price, and its plastic casing holds up (seven years). Works great on clean or distortion, and doesn't change the vol. of your signal. This pedal will have a bigger impact on your creativity than your wallet.

Yeah, it is plastic. This thing sounds good though. It is adjustable and seems to be sturdy enough. Battery cover wants to come loose sometimes. Who cares?? Buy one!

I was needing a chorus pedal that was straight forward and easy to use, this is that pedal. Right out of the box I hooked it up and had a great, lush sounding chorus in minutes. Three knobs..you don't need a manual to figure this thing out. I have owned others that had 20 differnt settings for chorus..who needs that? It is made of plastic, but it is still very strong. I would highly recommed this pedal, especally for the price.

Just thought I'd add my two cents here. Right now, this, and the Small Clone Chorus, are the two main chorus pedals in my arsenal. The Arion is a pedal that has some versatility, can be quite prominent or subtle, and sits in the mix of your rig's sounds well. It also works well with cleans and supra distortions. It's also maleable and adaptable, whereas the Small Clone has a great core sound, but I find I have to adapt my sound and other pedals much more to get the Small Clone to sit well in my mix of pedals. I've also been through similar affairs from DOD and Ibanez (the recent'7 series')... If I were really after a chorus, I think I'd go straight for the Ibanez CS9. Some would go for the Small Stone perhaps. But some might even go for straight for the Arion. Ultimately, this pedal is great because it's far more than an 'also ran' chorus pedal. And, if you ever get the chance to run two rigs and utilize the stereo option?...pure nirvana.

I don't know what it is about Arion, but they've always seemed to have had a grip on good chorus. I had an Arion chorus/flange box 15 years ago... Since then I've owned a DOD, a Zoom, and a Digitech rack unit and whaddya know, this Arion unit is STILL better than all of those. The choral response is much more even and thicker-sounding to the ear, and the tone knob lets you pin down exactly where you want your resonance.
