A good pedal at a good price

So I was looking to add a good chorus pedal to my rig and I came across this one in a music store. I had previously owned a Danelectro practice amp and was extremely impressed with the quality of the product. Ever since then, I've been a fan of Danelectro products, and seeing as how this pedal was significantly cheaper than the Boss CH-1 I originally planned to get, it seemed like a sure thing. The casing is metal, as opposed to the plastic used on most pedals at a comparable price, and built to last. I plugged it into a Marshall DFX100 combo, tweaked a few settings, and voila! It has a lot of versatility, and you can achieve everything from the classic chorus sound to spacy, delayed tones for more ethereal guitar licks. Also, it has a cool blue LED when the pedal is active that looks really cool when the lights go down during a show. Just a personal, aesthetic bonus in my book. Overall, a great product worth the purchase. Even at twice the price, I would buy this pedal. Danelectro continues to impress me.

Not a bad little pedal

It's not going to give you that nice sweeping chorus that goes to a "12 string" sound at higher speeds, but it's a good middle-of-the-road chorus pedal that will give the shimmer. I have been using a DOD FX65 and the cool cat is about 70% close.

This effect can do your usual chorus stuff and will nail those 80's new wave tone! What I really like about this is it can be adjusted to subtle settings and won't mess with your core-tone when disengaged.

The casing of this effect is metal, but the switch cover is plastic. Still you must stomp on it with care. But the price just makes perfect sense.

This is the 9v model. I selected this over the ibanez, digitech and boss chorus after trying them all through a small SS amp. I like the clean sound and this one has warm mellow chorus vs the crispy swooping type. Also, it is much quieter than the boss and the Ibanez chorus no hiss on my strat signal. It can replace my late model dyna comp for tone coloring. In fact now that I have this I sometimes cut the compression on the signal.

Wow, this is the best sounding chorus i've ever used and the most unique one i've ever heard. You can get any chorus from this, from classic chorus to this chorus that sort of sounds like a rotating speaker (tremolo type sound). Also perfect for rhythm players, set to a mild chorus to add depth and richness to your heavier power chords. This pedal will surely set you appart from the others.

Dano did a great job with this pedal, encased in a steel casing thats tough as nails, and solid, sturdy construction and knobs. I would never bring any FAB series pedals to a gig, but this thing you can bring on tour! I have a couple of other Boss pedals and this thing is just as tough as they are. The knobs are small though, and are a little tough to set. The footswitch button is a little small and awkward shaped too. Until i got used to it i found myself missing the button completely, or not pushing it completely down to activate it.

This thing is dirt cheap! In this case, you dont get what you pay for, you get better. The Cool Cat series is Dano's best line of pedals so far, and equal up to makers such as Boss, Digitech etc. You want a chorus, get this one!
