Great vibe

I can only assume that this isn't the real "photo cell" type vibe since Dunlop doesn't bill it as such, like the plain "Uni-Vibe" however, it sounds very good and has a hidden feature. Well, it's not very hidden, but it's not really fully disclosed. The mix knob doesn't only work in stereo mode. Using only the right/vibrato output the mix knob blends vibrato and chorus effects, which I haven't seen in any other vibe. Most have the switch to go back and forth between the two. I have found no difference between the chorus sounds for either output when mix is fully clockwise on mono. When in the left/chorus output, the mix is like an effect level, further counterclockwise is less effect, but when using only the right/vibrato output, further ccw is more vibrato and less chorus (and vice versa) That may be obvious to some people but I didn't gather that from the product description, so it's a bonus for me. Overall a solidly built, great sounding unit for a relatively cheap price. The day I start gigging regularly and earning good money (ie never) will be the day I consider a "booteek" (overhyped and overpriced) vibe. For now, I'm satisfied with this.

Fantastic!

I bought this pedal used for around $90, and it ended up being the best investment (gear wise) I've ever made. Don't be fooled by the small number of knobs, this pedal really gives you more options than a pedal this price should. The speed ranges from a deep, slow flange to an insane, wobbly vibrato. You can get real wet, or just add enough to deepen your sound. I've done a few tours with this pedal, and dropped it an inhuman nuber of times.

Ya'know what? Forget what I said. Buy the pedal and see for yourself.

Why I Like The Uni-Vibe Stereo Chorus

I have had this pedal for 4 or 5 years now and I think it is truly awesome sounding! Most people don't realize that this pedal has a seperate vibrato output and that the vibrato is true pitch-shifting vibrato - like the much sought-after Boss VB-2. I don't really care about the chorus on this pedal; I never use it. I bought this pedal for the vibrato and that's all I ever use. It is so exquisitely beautiful for lead lines. Forget the Chorus Jack - everybody and his brother makes a silly chorus.

One trick pony

First I must make it clear I am a hobbyist and not a pro. I use a one amp rig, so I'm not getting the full stereo capability. This box is built like a sturdy tank. The depth knob at lower settings doesn't do much. The higher speed warbly settings aren't really my thing. But the slower speed - deep chorus setting does the Robin Trower thing just right! Kind of a one trick pony in my opinion, but that was the trick I was looking for. Not the most versital pedal though.

Okay. . . I like my Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus, but it ain't no Uni-vibe! This pedal has now made it to my X-Mas list. It's amazing of how luscious and liquid like it sounds! I am how ever gonna keep my CH-1 and put it on avibrato setting, good for a Leslie sound.
