The E-MU 1820 Computer Recording System delivers everything you need to produce audio on a PC with professional results: 24-bit/192kHz
converters, hardware-accelerated effects and mixing, and seamless compatibility with your favorite PC audio/sequencer software. E-MU has teamed up with the Creative Advanced Technology Center, a world leader in ASIC and algorithm development for PC audio, to create the new line of Creative Professional hardware interfaces that stand toe-to-toe with the most advanced and expensive audio systems in the
world. The E-MU 1820 offers you a complete Digital Audio System at a price that will change your expectations of desktop recording forever.

The system features pristine 24-bit, 192kHz converters and flexible connectivity with 18 audio inputs, 20 outputs, 32 channels of MIDI I/O, plus a FireWire port for seamless integration with your entire studio. 2 premium TFPro mic preamps have 2 mic/line/Hi-Z inputs with 40dB of gain/attenuation and 48V phantom power. You can plug guitars, keyboards, and microphones straight into your system. A 32-bit multi-effects processor offers you over 16 hardware-accelerated, studio-grade effects with no CPU overhead. Plug-in architecture allows you to add new effects as needed.

With 32 channels of zero-latency hardware mixing/ monitoring routed through a super-flexible virtual patchbay, no external mixer is needed.


The 1820 system has full compatibility with most popular audio/sequencer applications through its ultralow latency WDM, DirectSound and ASIO 2.0 Drivers

The 1820 is now shipping with the new Power FX software update, giving users the ability to run over 600 hardware-accelerated effects as VST plug-ins for Cubase and other applications. Power FX also introduces EMU's first expansion plug-in, with new reverb and delay effects.
